The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

There’s a lot of visual elements in TLJ I liked, such as the red smear of a foot after not-slashing someone in half with a lightsaber, etc etc, but the story had problems. A subplot that went nowhere, an impactful moment given to an unknown character, etc. It was a spectacle over substance sequel.

First, let me say that i was never a fan of the old movies, both the original and the prequel trilogies.
So my dislike of The Last Jedi doesnt come from nostalgia.

For me, the whole movie is a mess.
Ruin "The Round Head"Jhonson is a good director when he is working on his own stuff, but for SW he was the worst choice possible.

The guy is basically a troll, so, of course he would take the chance to undo all the narrative plotpoints that old movies had.

The whole narrative is disjonted and a waste of time, all the stuff that happens on the movie amounts to nothing, with characters acting in the most obtuse ways just to push the plot.

He was more preocupied on subverting expectative that the whole story was simply a lot of nothing that in the end ends unsurprisingly being pointless.

And lets not forget a lot of shit that simply contradicts everything that came before, even the setups that TFA had, which btw, i did like.

For example, how the fuck, the last order has the resistance on the ropes when they were massively hurt on the previous movie.
I know they managed to destroy 3 planets, but those were just a tiny fraction of the new republic, meanwhile the last order where a “small” terrorist group that had to work in the shadow because they were massively outumbered, yet by the next movie they are rehashing again the small underdogs fighting the empire, when that simply doesnt make fucking sense by what was stablished before

Like that there are a lot of dumb shit that the only way to pass over it, you have to turn your brain.

Outside some small visual spectacle, the movie is simply garbage, that only served to create a divide that keeps hurting the franchise to this day.

I forgot how ugly the first Injustice is

The game still had the weird semi realistic yet stylized look that MK vs DC and MK9 had.
I think not a single 3d model looked good, be male or “female”.

The game had that washed sterile look that many UE3 games had that made into a meme that everything was just brown and grey

The joys of “realistic” graphics.

As someone who’s actually a huge fan of Naughty Dog and The Last of Us 1, this whole thing is a bummer. My only motivation to buy the game right now is so I can have a fully educated and informed opinion about why the plot of Part 2 completely shits on everything fans loved about the first game.

Fuck you bro I fucking knew it was gonna be DIO and I still clicked it

Imo TLJ is the best ST movie, if only for the reason that it tries to do something more than rehash the OT.

ST in general is trash tho.

OT>>>>>>ST>PT

Guys can we NOT do this Star Wars shit again.

Fuck no.

People like the PT because of the memes but forget that the memes started as jokes about how shit the movies (specifically the dialogue) were.

Now it’s morphed into this weird inside joke where people think the movies are good now.

@Darc_Requiem post some titties and I might stop

World building is consistently awful in the trilogy, and TLJ is no exception. Even in TFA it gets weird, when the baddies fire their non-Death Star and blow up a bunch of planets and people go “it was the republic, the First Order destroyed the republic”, and I’m like “what the fuck do you mean? Did they just casually blow up Coruscant?”

As it turns, the answer was “no”. I just wasn’t supposed to give too much thought about how the planets that were blown up were supposed to be “the Republic” because the movie never gave a fuck about explaining or thinking about how the galaxy works.
It’s just something that became more and more apparent as the sequels went on, culminating in Palpatine’s secret, fully manned fleet that was apparently fed by his hopes and dream.

With TLJ I can appreciate some of the twists that they pulled with, for example I liked the idea of Rey being a nobody with no lineage or how Kylo Ren becomes the ultimate big bad, and I’m willing to brush off the ultimately pointless subplot that goes through the casino world as in part being the classic “weird alien world” that a Star Wars movie has to have and in part being an attempt at subverting expectations that mostly fell flat. The movie is flawed, but the biggest sin it accomplishes in my opinion is failing in giving enough time for Rey to have character development, resulting in her being considered a mary sue by a lot of people because she has to be the uber-powerful main character that can do incredible things but never gets enough development to make it feel earned.

Still better than RoS, that movie fucks with established plotlines like TLJ but is also extremely cowardly on top of it. I can respect an author that tries bold stuff and fails, but I can’t respect an author that desperately tries to please its audience only to deliver mediocrity.

Curiously, RoS is also the movie that does Rey the best probably, but at that point it was way to late to salvage that.

Nigga, the DT is garbo, the only redeming movie was TFA, and that was a rehash.
For how much that TLJ tries to subvert everything, it ends rehashing a lot of the SW mythos too, with its Not empire and its not Rebels, and the mini deathstar at the end.

The PT for all its faults actually did different things, it is just that the execution was all over the place.

For me is Everything Outside the realm of the movies (Clone Wars both series, the Force Unleashed games)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>OT >= PT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The Xmas Special >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DT and anything they have done so far that isnt the mandalorian

I seriously think that the Prequel Trilogy is better than the Sequel Trilogy, taken as a trilogy.

With this I mean that the Prequel movies are generally worse than the sequel movies, but the sequel movies fail to build any coherent narrative or world building when put together while at least the trilogy ones managed to do that.
