karnov should be playable

baloon has a lot of real world uses in windjammers

Agreed for non-team based 26 characters seems decent for a standard fighter, 16 seems right for a starting point.

Tons of characters diminish archetype variation.

Capcom should go with gimmicky single player mode for casual instead of spending much production on cinematic that they would just won’t bother playing again for hours long. A better arcade mode with randomization is better than a hours of cinematic mode. IMHO

Casuals were asking for the likes of World Tour, Heroes and Heralds, and Tales of Souls. that’s better casual stuff with tons of NPC encounters. than huge production value wasted along with huge time consuming mode that people wouldn’t pick again after a month or so.

Well I have 30th Anniversary on PC now. So unless someone is on Xbox One, fighting games on Xbox One     , I can play anyone at the game now.

Damn, Neil Druckmann made a game with him getting fucked by his ideal amazonian musclegirl?

What an absolute madlad, he truly is a genius like the reviews are saying! :open_mouth:

I doubt that ASF had high production value, something along the lines of Fisherprice seems more accurate.

Character bloat is real this gen, Tekken 7 has more characters than umvc3 and almost as many as mvc2.
Sfv is right behind Tekken, and has more on the way.

SFV won’t ever have enough characters until Rose is in, let’s be real.

You say that now, but will sing a different tune if she’s neutered like Sagat. :triumph:

Is it not boring to play the same note over and over?

I’d rather they save her and any other character I like for whatever is next, instead of at the end of V’s life cycle.

Just saying the money they wasted on that thing could have been spend on better things.

We already went over how the entire Story is a waste of space and should be remade from the ground up.
Using that money to hire a semi-decent writer would already have been a better investment.
Or maybe some more characters.
ASF was a waste in every department, even for this games standards.

I think that most of you niggas overreact at how many matchups people really learn when compared to how many chars there are in a game.

Just look at games like marvel and kof.

They usually have bigger rosters, but the competitive scene always gravitate torwards a small subset of chars, it doesnt matter that the game is balanced or not.

We have actual data of that with every major and gathering over the years.

Of all the chars that tekken has, most of the cast is rarely used at competitive play.

So its size is a non issue.
The meta always balance the roster size into a manageable subset.
So all this talk if games having big roster is moot.

As rumored weeks ago, the Epic Games and Steam version of the SamSho collection will have crossplay.

Tekken is arguably the one that suffers the most from bloated rosters because of its already bloated movepools per character making everything a nightmare to begin with.
Naturally, I won’t go in-depth about it since there are people actually qualified to talk about Tekken in this thread and I sure ain’t one of them.

SF, especially SFV, clearly doesn’t struggle as much with the matchup issue because there are less factors to consider. Less moves, less ways to open people up, etc.

You can get a decent grasp of a character’s gameplan quickly in V, and frame data is more accessible than ever for quick checks.

And Heca raised a good point about the fact that for the most part, there’s a group of characters that are clearly a cut above the rest in terms of usage, so you can figure out the most important matchups simply by exposure.

Will they have lobbies tho?

Yeah, it’s a shame it doesn’t have lobbies and training modes.

They could go on with the story but more on motivation and character origins a better arcade mode, which a bit time rather than of hours of playthrough and other character were just there force to each other to a another unite to another shadaloo raid but with different set of character this time. People are more invested in individual journey and getting to know the character. IMHO
