Zombie games are a no go for me most of the time unless its Left 4 Dead and Dying light. Those were fun.
As if zombie games were really about the zombies. 
Unless you’re playing Left 4 Dead, by mid-game you’ll be smashing other humans’ skulls in. Iirc, you actually begin TLOU fucking up other humans and then you get to the zombies.

I was not a fan of the mushroom zombies either. I remember hating every section with clickers, and the first couple hours (outside of the opening) kinda sucked imho. But once you get to Pittsburgh, that game gets real good
Not to be that guy, but real good is kind of a stretch.
Truth be told, you’re really playing that game for the story. The gameplay really isn’t anything special, that’s a consensus among Sony fans from what I’ve heard and I agree based on what I played.
And the story is… Ok? Like, there isn’t anything really groundbreaking in it. It’s a pretty nice story and all but I dunno. It’s kind of like a soap opera. The beats are well executed, but they’re so predictable that I can’t really be impressed.
And now, judging by what was leaked, Part 2 doesn’t even have that going for it. Yikes.

I sorta agree that the gameplay isn’t spectacular, but it has the ability and the engine to create insanely good gameplay moments.
There are missions that are ass, but there are a few gameplay moments that were absolutely amazing, and there’s some in game moments that I remember vividly cause they were organic, surprising, exciting, and chaotic.
I honestly forget most of the story.
Edit: Overall, I have a really fond memory of that game because it gave me some pretty awesome video game shit, stuff I couldn’t experience in any other type of media. I put give a game a lot of credit if it can give me a moment or two that really stick with me. Bioshock is another example of a game that gave me a few moments that are burned into my brain, and as a result it’s one of my favorite games ever

My first attempt of creating a “water flow” scene in Blender. No textures, none rendered. But it’s a start.
EDIT : made the water particles an actual object ( baked,non textured ).

He’s nearly on his promotion, but I win all the game while he’s on promo and he wins all the games after that.
Then, one match he’s still on his promo after having lost.
At this point he decided the promo debuff was real and called it quits.
