It is clear that they are trying to capitalize on the buzz surrounding DBFZ and GBFS by making their main flagship as appealing to those demographics that dipped into them but dont play fgs/arc fgs as appealing as possible.
But from what my friends and brother have to say after playing the closed beta, they arent really conviced that in its current form will have any staying power.

Outside this specific game, ASW still makes my favorite fighting games.
If anything i hope they manage to succeed because historically it never pans out to ditch your identity in pursuit of an imaginary audience that is not there.

It really is a fun game to play and watch… If you can get past the models, animations, and weak roster.

I think it was a downgrade of what came before.
But one thing for sure is that i give props to them for supporting a game they like.
It is more that you can say about those who said that loved mvci but dropped it because it wasnt a main event game, despite many of them not really placing on tournaments to justify that excuse.
At least top players had the excuse that they have to focus on games due contractual reasons wuith sponsors, but the other niggas that say they love the game but dont really play it, nah son, fuck you, lol.
