He just transformed, to knock them back. Then he dropped the transformation and it was never seen again. That’s why I said he never actually fights in it. Hell he skips Super Saiyan 3 when he’s attacking Jiren and goes from 2 to God.

I believe 20x Kaioken is the limit, can’t remember where I read it though.

Iirc, it was Goku’s limit on Namek as stated by King Kai.

Oh. Forgot about that.

Goku fought Bills using SSJ3.

Is that what we’re calling a fight now?

We better, or we might as well wipe out half of Vegeta’s fights.

MIDNIGHT :metal:

Technically 10x was his limit. It’s what he could use comfortably. Kai mentions the 10x when Yamucha was saying Goku will be fine since he wasn’t using Kaioken yet. Except he was using it the entire time. Goku couldn’t go higher. He just risked using 20x cause he had no choice… but now I’m remember the manga and he just uses it as opposed to him almost being drowned by Frieza. So who knows, you’re probably right.

Yes, Goku used Super Saiyan 3 against Breerus and the animators couldn’t animate it for television. They did get it wrong for the movie too, but that’s because they were turning Goku’s Gi closer to the manga’s yellow back in the day and they left it that dark orange. I don’t think anyone at Toei would remember that though. Goku also didn’t really do much in the movie, just a few punches.

Kaioken was interesting because it had consequence not just another power up.

What made ultra instinct interesting is because it isn’t controlled by the will of Goku.

The first form of Super Saiyan was interesting because it had some mystery of something ancient then when there are multiple form and youngster can easily do it became meh.

Love this page! Even from the pages of a comic, Goku still motivates me to get better. I’ll wait for the gyms to reopen. Until then, I’m going to (attempt to) kick ass in 3S.

Gotta love how you didn’t even mention Vegeta’s soul getting sent to the shadow realm.

I don’t mind that. It plays well into his character and serves a greater purpose than putting him in his place. Growing up in a boys’ school, pride is injected deep into a growing kid. It’s important and something to utilise, not get influenced by. I like to use that pride to my advantage when training for various things, otherwise it serves no purpose and is redundant to a being’s personality. If that’s what you call torture, then I think we’re all due for some of it to become better human beings.

Uhhh, that’s cool and all, but Vegeta was probably slightly offended by that remark.

Yeah he was. “Second fiddle,” as Toppo put it.

I wasn’t following the manga, what is it… they made it that way?

Okay they turned it again to another boring power-up

I wouldn’t say that… I think?

DBS Manga Spoilers

Goku can now use Sign at will, but not the full Ultra Instinct.

It’s more of an agility-based power-up, though it seems to be treated as stronger than Blue. Sign is unstable, so “lol Stamina” is in effect.

The thing is… No mention at all about the whole “unconscious movement thing”, though iirc, it only applies on defense for Sign.

Doesn’t surprise me. The team aspect is a big part of it. Communication literally isn’t a skill you need in FGs, while I know a lot of people enjoy that aspect of team games.
Then there’s the whole being carried / having external factors to blame thing, which is surprisingly relevant even among good MOBA players tbfh.

@AriesWarlock nah, that’s literally as far away from me as possible.
