The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

I appreciate the effort but they should had just not held this tournament this year, online seems to be leading to a total clusterfuck.

It’s not the end of the world if some dudes don’t play a video game tournament this year.Make the 2021 one greater, not something to ( possibly ) wash away the awful taste in our mouths that the 2020 will most likely give.

Perhaps, but it is also a financial thing for all involved, they already commited a lot of resources to this, so not making an effort to have any type of event makes the loss of said investment more severe for them.

They need to try to at least to recover some of it.

Edit

If anything, this Evo online thing could lead to the beginning of a companion event for Evo USA and EVO Japan, where they have some form of event that is online only for certain games, so they could be seeing the potential of it and taking advantage that EVO USA wouldnt be happening this year to be able to run it and learn from it.

A valid argument but they risk really ruining their image imo.But since people have the attention life span of a butterfly i guess it’s np…

Smh. So Japan, the country where you can’t even give out prize money gets a pass but the entirety of South and Central America don’t.

Edit: I hope some WiFi dude from Siberia jumps in and take the whole thing in the Euro bracket.

I dont think that could ruin their image tbh, after all, there is a pandemic going around so even if it is kind of a shitshow, they have the bennefit that there wasnt much they could do about it.

And like i said on my edit of the previous post.
This could lead to a companion event for Evo Japan and Evo USA, where they can have smaller games have official online tournaments, so even if is a mess but does fine, they can learn from it and improve for any possible next event.

Central America usually gets lumped with Mexico for some reason.
Given that my psn account has usa as its region and my nline connection is better than what most mexicans have, i could try to participate

I can always ask a cousin that lives on USA to accept the prize for me if i managed to win (which i wouldnt, lol)

Don’t confuse my skepticism with negativity btw.

I want it to work, but it’s a global online event. Things can get messy real fast.

Trial and error i suppose, but we really in for a shit show on social media,it’s gonna be hilarious at least.

Also,i felt like we had a very similar discussion some time ago,you and i. Dejavu feeling is kinda strange…

Another plus side from an official evo online circuit is that it could push for devs to put more effort to their online offerings.

Well,if you compete and they are showing player avatars. Please continue to use your own.

You already probably saw the “console switching” for SG, but I think the funniest thing to come out of this is people thinking region locked tournaments are racist LMAO.

You mean they aren’t!? :upside_down_face:

Honestly though, it’s kind of weird that SA didn’t get a region. There are a lot of tournaments here and it’s not uncommon to see at least 1 Brazilian even at larger events like CapCup.

It’s just not a good look. :man_shrugging:

I would comment on that but I haven’t been keeping up with the Evo news. I’ll get back to you on that with either astute commentary or jokes.

Wait, are people saying region-locked Online Tournaments in general are racist!?

As for the Evo news:

Japan, the country where prize money is no bueno, gets in. South America, where the laws are generally less of a hassle, don’t.

Did the Brazilian Kens have Mr. Wiz shook?

Can somebody explain to me how Square Enix can still justify asking a monthly fee for FFXIV? At 19 million subscribers, they’re pulling in 247 million USD every month, which is just barely less than the total development cost of the most expensive game in history (GTAV).

19 mil subs or registered accounts ?

It seems insanely high. Not even WOW in it’s prime had that, I think it was 13.5

Sometimes I let some warm water into my ears in the shower. Doctor said it was good when I had too much earwax. If you don’t feel the water getting in, make some soapy water in your hand, and then let it in.
Boy, my ear is itching now.

Man, just grab some cotton swabs and clean your ear already.

My problem is that a bug got in my ear while I was sleeping. To make things worse, my 3am sleepy dumbass thought the ear was just dirty and the first thing I did was to reach out for the swabs.

Wound up pushing that thing in way too deep. Now I’m screwed.

I do. But I’m not proud to say I pumped some water with a seringe back then. Luckly nothing bad happened and I’m keeping them clean now.
But what I mean is that you can pour some water there pretty safely

Yeah, I tried that earlier, no dice.

Thanks for the concern though. All jokes aside, I really appreciate it. :+1:

Do you have an idea what kind of bug it is?

Is it moving around in there?
