The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

The only shoto i care about

Gouken_Ultra

Am honestly surprised they didn’t add him to V.They went through all the trouble retconning his death, introducing him in the story, making him shit on Akuma’s demon in Ryu’s SF4 ending, adding him to SF5 story cutscenes and…nothing.

That is the history of SFV

Don’t do me like this :frowning:

I really like the old man :worried:

Capcom itself already had El Stingray.

I can only assume that Capcom was more interested in creating another badly overdone comedy character than they were in adding a luchadore to Street Fighter, and thus created El Fuerte.

No fucking way they looked at El Santo and got Fuerte out of it.

Ryu and Akuma can play wildly different, as long as Ryu gets to focus on defense.

The shoto who gets bodied by Akuma is Ken. Ken just doesn’t get a niche if Akuma is around unless he has serious drawbacks like he does in 3S.

I think El Stingray is not really owned by capcom, or at least not in his totallity.
I could be wrong, but i think he is either owned or coowned by the HnK artist, Tetsuo Hara.

Is capcom, you know their drill by now.
Copy something, make it worse

Falke was cool for one reason

giphy

Still think they missed out with not giving ryu a ryu costume lol

The best read is reading the ragequit.

These parentheses are killing me.

That’s why I wanted akuma to lose the norma hadouken and change by making the shakunetsu hadouken as his new default ground base projectile. So that he needs always to jump if he needs to go fire battle battle.

Still making him look supperior but slow and can’t win even against ken.

They did it good with Gouken ,if we talking about fireballs.

Gouken’s hadoken could be thrown in 3 directions and charged for a double hit. Clearly showing his mastery over the arts and allowing for more versatility, Ryu’s is more straight forward and can compete in the fireball war np with Gouken thanks to his double hitting shakunetsu to close the gap.

Then SF5 happend and Sakura pretty much has Gouken’s fireball, except the great recovery.

Looks at username.

I think this is bias.

When Sakura is allowed to have more growth as a character in terms of gameplay than the lame karate hobo

Ryu is still bad because he can’t do shit lol. A couple frames and a small hitbox buff on cr.mk were never gonna make him good.

Like seriously what does he have? His buttons are average at best, his zoning is weak, he runs the same frame trap/throw/shimmy offense as half the cast, his VT’s are absolute trash, he has weak crush counters, no neutral bypass, and 3/4’s of his V-system is devoted to weak defensive options. He’s trash period. Name one compelling thing in his kit that makes him worth playing.

In Season 1 he was used for his super good j.lk and his meterless DP, the latter allowing him to hoard meter for CA basically every round. After he lost that stuff there was no reason to pick him. People talk about Akuma overshadowing him but playing Ryu was pointless for a whole year before he dropped.

Tbh ex fireball in trigger is pretty good but that will only get you so far.

Just played about an hour of USF4 for the first time with another person. What the fuck was that and why was it so fun?

I need to learn Genei Jin stuff.

I mean, he is her idol.

Hobo Sakura incomming.

Oh, right, I forgot about that.

If his buttons and zoning were good, he’d have a niche, but “muh eSports”…

I-I… I really want to see this… It’s impossible to make a bad Sakura costume.
