The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

Damn man you went in on him like I did UPS in the Nintendo Switch thread.

She’s got nothing on Perth’s daughter tho. :joy: My kids came into the room twice but were well-behaved (surprisingly).

Since we don’t have VODs I’m trying to remember how all the matches went, but its hard when half of them and all of top 3 were Ken mirrors.

Shahenzan’s Ibuki dancing around G.Dong’s Oro’s boomerang balls were definately a highlight. Real smart to use EX Neckbreaker to slip under and past, and remain in an animation long enough for them to dissipate. His neutral in general was really good. How would you prevent the upkick into air super from pushing the opponent out? Dong’s Oro was also a treat to watch; he had the air stomp combos on lock and always knew when to EX DP. I didn’t know Oro’s cr.MP (?) stretched like Dhalsim’s.

PlusFrame’s lab time really paid off against me. He patiently shut down all my approaches with good precision, and short-short-super was definiately a useful tool I didn’t have. By our second game he had me jumping like a mad flea; I knew I was outclassed. Next time I’ll keep my ass on the ground and practice my footsies a bit more. (I did a little bit of labbing with Ken’s buttons, mainly to learn ranges and what was special-cancellable. But obv. not enough.) I feel proud I stole a game with wakeup super vs a fireball chip-out.

My nutty tatsus vs Perth’s Genei Jin delivery unit was partly cause my other combos were less reliable due to my shitty execution and partly because it goes airborne quickly while not being as punishable as a DP on whiff. Also neutral crash / escape vs a short-limbed character. I really, really did not want to be cornered vs GJ, and usually the overhead comes after the cr.LKs have pushed nearly out of range.

Similarly vs Shehanzen’s Ibuki my goal was to not play neutral, cause I would lose. She’s got surprisingly long buttons. Jump on her, throw her in the corner, don’t let her breathe. I’m lucky I didn’t get AA’ed into oblivion, but I guess crossup works? Really feel like I stole that one.

I can’t beat Spinner. He’s just too practiced. The thought with Elena was 1) I can sometimes surprise him for a game by a character change, 2) he knows Ken better than I so little point sticking with “my main” and 3) DPing Akuma out of the air gives a chance to heal. The plan was OK but it just didn’t work out.

I think I fought everyone at least once. Other than Volt, how was my connection?

wth, I saw Kayane and MarkMan in a tweet featured there

Good summary! My connection with you was fine. I’m pretty sure my connection with everyone was good today.

My adrenaline was pumping so much I really can’t remember much of my matches with anyone. I even totally forgot about that wakeup super until you mentioned it lol.

I only remember the mental notes I took of things to work on, which is a lot…

I’m actually going to boot up the PS4 in a bit - if anyone wants games on that later, let me know.

It is very good. Starts slow and by the end of the game, you’ll have mad feels for the game. Arthur is one of the best written protagonists in a game.

Let’s have some fun i guess

That went crazy far! I actually thought he hit that with the top of the foot Captain Tsubasa-style but it was with the side of it like a Light Tatsu…

So basically what I’m saying is that Light Tatsu should reflect fireballs.

It’s like the word fuck. It can be interpreted in so many ways.

That’s cosplay? Because of the light I thought it was 3D image. And her right boob seems lower than the perky left boob

Ate some gummies half an hour or so ago, so if you’re still on later we might have to have some silly-goose sets

Did Pertho go 0-2? I was under the impression he was the man to beat in 3s.

Spinner was the man to beat, always. He actively plays 3s every day all day.

Can confirm, I eat the same Demon setup every single day like it’s scooby snacks.

Where’s that hot invite?

I’ve dropped games against everybody here. I dont know 3S well enough to deal with random playstyles yet.

If we have a lounge though, Im cooking thanksgiving with all these turkeys.

I had no idea, I thought you and Spin were on equal grounds from reading the thread.

Sorry man, i think I’m too high to play

I’m more solid at playing street fighter, he is way better at doing 3S stuff.

Unfortunately doing goofy 3S makes playing regular SF significantly harder because you have to second guess a lot of stuff. So I gotta learn to play with some of the OS stuff and then learn how to play around it. Its gonna take me a min to catch up to that and then to magically make my execution less shitty.

I can’t speak to the power of shin Pertho but it is worth noting he was playing around a lot with his self confessed amateur hour yun
