Tbh i think next SF will feature Guy instead of Zeku,even though Zeku is ok , Guy is far more requested.

Times have changed though, big names are not 100% sure for base roster because DLC brings money.
You think Juri, Akuma , Sakura,Sagat as DLC was because they were not popular enough for base roster ? Hardly.
Dunno if they play or not, remember that there are couch players among them and also online warriors only.

Akuma is popular enough to move DLC units.
To be honest though, I’m almost certain Akuma as a selectable character is bad for Street Fighter.

They will have a mix of beloved/popuar chars mixed between the base and 1st season so hey can maximize sales.
If it was me, i would Put Kolin, Menat and Ed (if his story is relevant to 6) as base, Zeku, Bonita, Rashid/G as DLC.
I don’t think Zeku comes back TBH. Making him is making 2 characters for shits and giggles.
As amazing as he is and as much as I love him, I understand never seeing him again.
What is Rashid’s non gameplay appeal? Like he looks so plain.

His theme and he uses his cellphone a lot.

I think there is a demand for that type of chars, at least as dlc down the line.
He is basically the replacement for the old master/complex character that gen was in both archetype and gameplay. Both share a lot in common.
Remember, Gen is dead in the canon now.
I think his popularity steams from both his strong playstyle and the memetic mutation that came from his theme.
Sometimes is not how the character is represented in the medium they come from what makes them popular, but how the fan perceives them in their interactions with other fans.
He was no younger than Yun and Yang or pretty much everyone in Alpha.
Chronologically, it’s a mess. You have a lot of plot threads dangling past ASF and I’ll always bring up the sheer stupidity of SFV’s Arcade Mode (Featuring all games but almost no canon endings.)
This leads to hilariously bad stuff like Sagat’s SFV ending.
Is it canon? Is it not canon? Could go either way, but we really can’t know because over half of the endings across 6 games aren’t canon. And none of them establish plot points to be followed after V or flesh out the ones raised in the individual stories.
G is also a horrible example, but I’m stopping this rant before it goes out of control.

As for the Rashid discussion, he’s an unique character. I can definitely see the appeal.
Rashid is Amon from Double Dragon, they even added the plane stage.
Speaking of DD.
Now that ASW owns both Kunio kun and DD, and seeing how they have been pushing them recently, it gives me hope ofr a new FG of DD, or even better, DD and Kunio kun toghether, since they share the same world.
ASW Double Dragon would probably be grear. Hard corps Uprising was godlike.
Another thing is that ASW and Wayforward have become closer in how they work after River City Girls, so that also opens the possibility of a fg with Wayforward ips, like Shantae, for example.

I really don’t give a shit about the new season to be honest. I played SFV for a grand total of about 2 hours after CE came out, found out they didn’t fix the fucking netcode; and uninstalled on the spot.
Buying SFV on both PC and PS4 is right up there with buying Anthem more than once as far as I’m concerned. Won’t be playing that shit again. What I will do though is install 30th Anniversary and get my 3S on.
