I wouldnt discard them yet, with the xbox sex on the horizon, is like that m$ will integrate it to the platform and push for it once again.
But yeah, for now, the strongest alternative is youtube.

Would you buy SF6 if they pull a SFIII but this time instead of getting Icons like Ryu/Ken/Chun we get the new comers from SFV? Rashid/Laura/Necalli, Ed/Falke the new Ryu/Ken and G :^)?
With Pertho posting about the tarot cards, it makes me wonder if this will be the only season without introducing someone. Each one so far has had a new character.

As it is now capcom burned a lot of good will when it comes to fighting games, so they will need to be anything but impecable at launch at every aspect if they really want me to buy their shit again.

^ SFV was the only game i preordered in years and i regret it. I agree that Capcom really needs to make something good to make me buy the next title.
I am hyped as hell for Cyberpunk and still haven’t preordered it.

Is cheaper and quicker to just bring a new char and repurpose the moves into SFV than creating a new char from the ground up.
It’s not even that she’s boring, she’s a gimped design.
Her zonks are weak. Her pokes are unrewarding. The whole thing is a mess because they wanted a character with long normals but they can’t have her be good since “zoning is boring for eSports.” and that retarded “QCFs are evil.” design Ed and Falke have.
It’s even dumber because both pianos and zonks are much harder than QCFs.

Same, right now, i only preorder games that i know i would love or because the deal is to good to pass, like anything that Xseed publishes since they give stuff like osts and artbooks for the price of a regular game (I am a sucker for artworks)
FGS were preordered back then because i also ran tournaments, i no longer do that, so now i can take my time and buy them later.

The visual design is important, the gameplay even in tuned if the character has a fanbase, they will play her.
Fuck, look at Juri. Way cooler in 4 gameplay wise but since her visual theme is so appreciated people still play and love her even though she is mid at best now.Being even in cross over games like Project x Zone, Teppen,Shadowverse and so on is a clear indicator that her visual theme sells good.
I don’t dislike Falke and even played her a bit, but i question if she has what it takes to ever return.

Falke and Ed only got one shot at coming back.
A story mode that involves Neo-Shadaloo.
Ed kinda has the popularity because of his dynamics with Balrog, but he seems to be less popular now since his default look is frankly ridiculous and his moveset came out borked.
Flicker had no reason to not be a QCF/Mash move like literally every other mash move.
Chun and Kolin turned out fine.
Gameplay wise Kolin is a ok design, though she has some dumb as fuck heavy buttons and VT 2 really needs to be 3 bars.
I ain’t to keen on her actual character story wise. She sucking up to Gill way too much.Feels like blindly following orders without thinking for her own.
EDIT : As for ED , it’s a missed opportunity not keeping him as a kid as he was in story mode.Would be cool, but no clue how he would actually be a playable character then.Idk if Capcom would add a kid in-game getting punched left and right.

If they are really interested on pushing the Neo Shadaloo angle for the story, i do think we will se her return, at least as an NPC with Ed on the front as a playable char.
Of all the SFV chars that i feel have a strong chance of returning on day 1 or as dlc later on the line are Laura, Rashid, Menat Kolin and Zeku.
Their characters simply put, rocked in both gameplay and looks (i actually hate Rashid looks, not his gameplay), they were well received by the fanbase and it would be ludicrous to not capitalize on their popularity.
I would like to put G as well, but his recent top tierish run has soured some people on his opinion about him

SFV was the first game I pre-ordered ever…
Well, that is because Gill is both her saviour in a literal way and in a religious way.
She sucks to him because the Illuminati is a cult, and Gill is basically the God of it.
Alsoo, iirc, she is also his lover, or at least it was what was implied back in the day, but i could be wrong on that, or could have changed, i dont know.
