The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

Man, that means CE must’ve sold really well for them to do a new season. That and probably avoiding the same issues they had with SF5 launch.

Also where did they say they were fixing the netcode?

I mean 25 bucks for everything is a good deal not gonna lie.

I vaguely remember either the SF twitter or Ono saying that there was going to be a netcode patch before Covid-19 got huge.

I am sorry but wasn’t that the patch after they made the altimoor mod not work and that changed fuck all?

And remember, you had focus backdash and redfocus and fadc reversal to get out of her scramble vortex.

Imagine the same thing but only with vreversal as your defense.

Capcom sold 400k units in the last quarter. SFV is 4.5 million units after last quarters numbers. It was at 4.1 the previous quarter. That’s the biggest quarterly jump in some time. There quarters were the total didn’t or barely changed at all.

Lowkey I’m afraid if Rose does get into V they’ll just completely redesign her so there’s no clash between her and Menat. Or she doesn’t appear at all and is saved for SF6
Basically same reason why we got Zeku while Guy stayed in IV

Viper I don’t see happening in V because they’d dumb her down too much, e.g. no more seismo cancels (unless it’s tied to her V-gauge or something)

Gouken would be tight but that would be the 6th shoto in a roster, can already hear people complaining about that shit

Eagle and/or Maki certainly need to make an appearance as neither have been playable for over a decade

Makoto looks like a perfect pick for V-System in general

I’m 90% certain that after the last crap update Ono did mention they were planning a new patch for May but it got delayed because of COVID-19.

There’s supposed to be another patch for the netcode. They announced in late April that they have to delay it due to Covid.

ngl, Dudley is cool af and I’d like to see him get in. As long as Makoto makes it.

If only to see Smug play him again.

That’s a decent chunk of change; approx 10,000,000 in sales.

Honestly I’d rather them do a new season than rush SF6. Last thing we needs a runback of SF5’s launch nonsnese.

Anyway for those worried that their favourite characters make it to season 5 and because of that they won’t make it to Sf6… Really. There’s nothing stopping capcom from putting your character that appeared in season 5 as the base roster of SF6. Or maybe season 1 dlc.

Besides Soul Throw, and her limited access to Spiral, there’s almost no overlap between the two to begin with. :man_shrugging:

No mention of that in today’s announcement, which is a pretty big red flag, but let’s see if we get more news about that down the road.

Got a source for that?

If 6 is being developed I highly doubt it’s starting after V officially gets no more content.

High chances that SF6 has very early playable version if 2022 is the expected year.

The dream lives. Bring back Rose, you cowards.

Oh crap. It’s not netcode fix. LOL. I always assumed it was that. Hahaha.

Like I said in the past - they’re gonna show the first public build of 6 at Capcom Cup this year right after crowning the champion. They will roll out the final balance patch and the character(s) that weekend, release “Super Street Fighter V” shortly afterwards, then use the 2021 as a hype machine for 6’s release in early 2022, in time for the series’ 35th anniversary
