The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

lol, yeah, I realize it’s not ideal. I use the same TV with my PS4 and it seem okay, as long as the combos and stuff feel right and don’t mess with my timings between platforms, I’m okay

This game sucks so much on the QoL front lmao.

Lol but it’s cheating in general. You’re not supposed to have macros for that shit even in tournament. Yes you’re right it sucks, but this is not one of the reasons. You wanna talk smack? Who the fuck allowed a chimp in an executive environment to give the green light on that lobby system? It’s incredibly bad, even for Capcom standards for… well… anything, really. It’s just so bad.

Also, what is up with those shitty borders? Is there no way to change them? I want Kinu Nishimura drawings on the sides of my games, not a poster from 1999 that no one seems to have an HD image of.

You actually can. I just don’t want to distort the screen and get a weird perspective on the spacing.

Actually, all SF’s since IV have in-game macros.

These are obviously legal.

I’m told the Dreamcast version had 3P/3K macros in-game too.

It’s just a shoddy ass port QoL-wise. Literally arcade perfect lmao.

Honestly, I think if they allowed macros more people would shit on it then them not. The game itself is arcade perfect and that would ruin it.

Yeah remember one of the bigger controversies of MvC2.

Game has “mixed” reviews on Steam.

Any reason is a good reason to shit on a game.

I need a Throw Button dammit!!!

And then everyone (rightfully) recognized it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.

My current is just 4:3 with black bars.

Yes I know, but we’re talking about 3S. And I’m pretty sure that the PS2/Dreamcast versions didn’t use the 3PK macros is tournament either.

Unfortunately it’s not arcade perfect either. It runs at a different speed.

Sounds cringe as fuck. The kind of debate that can never be solved, because both sides have equal casual claim over their game.

Off topic, I hate centipedes. I get a big one (like 2-3” long, not including legs) in my basement once a month. I don’t like killing them but I ain’t carrying that thing outside

We definitely don’t agree on that front. If it’s a bug or crawls, I’m killing it. Cold blood.

I ain’t letting some weird thing crawl on me or a damn bug buzz in my ear when I’m sleeping.

It does? Is 30A slower or faster?

That sucks.

It was a massive debate because the one button dash was a Pad Macro. It was really the start of how far tech should be allowed to make the game easier to play (Turbo wasn’t because that one obviously just breaks everything).

Faster.

Huh, don’t mind that to be honest, but I wish it was arcade perfect

It shouldn’t affect our srub play. Definitely not if we’ve never experienced the real deal.

Actually I think the only person it affects is me since I play on FightCade, RedGGPO, 30th on PC and 30th on Switch. All of them feel very different, but I’m not using this as an OS since I’ve sort of made PC 30th my main platform.

Someone has found out the steam 30A collection can be used toplay other Capcom CPS roms as well it seems they added an Online Training option and some other things

Yeah, Ryan and a bunch of others are spreading this around, but it isn’t as rosy as people think. It works, sure, but it’s a bitch to setup supposedly. Also there’s certain things that stop us from utilizing it.

Don’t quote any of this, because I’m uninterested in this, but certain friends are and I skimmed a conversation regarding it.

Also, I may get into RedGGPO. TorontoTopTiers (a local FGC company that hosts a few events) have started doing open 3S online tournaments. I’m not ready to join but would like to work towards it.

Is that version much different than Steam’s, timing-wise?

Yeah the emulation is worse but the netcode is superior. That leads to good games with some, and bad with others. I can help you out with a connection test, and getting you setup is easy. I can link the tutorial that my friend made. It’s 10/10 easy.

Personally, it varies for opponent to opponent when it comes to preference. From MN to NorCal, I prefer 30th when playing a friend. From MN to Alabama, I prefer RedGGPO, as that’s better. You can do with that what you want, but I think the location difference is pretty obvious. Additionally, the games to NorCal on RedGGPO aren’t all that bad, but if I was fighting an actual good player, I’d call it unplayable.
