I kind of agree with eskills that unib and bb have the super generic anime look. GG has that 90s anime vibe. Anime characters back then always seemed to look a little more unique to me.
For me personally, granblue needs some more “cool” or “badass” type characters. Vaseraga and soriz are the best we got and they are both struggle characters

Not to lash on you, but i find amusing that people use generic as term when they just try to rationalize that they dont like something.
Not liking something is ok.
But many people confuse that with something being bad.
I dont like a lot of stuff that i know is not bad, just not my thing, like how i dont like 3s, mvc2, sg
Like how i like a lot of stuff that i know is kind of terrible, like Sengoku Basara X and Hokuto no Ken
Add that everything is generic if we go by how is the usual to go term to describe something.
I have heard it mentioned for 90s anime, 00s anime, 80s anime, comics, video games, etc, etc.
Chances are that what you call “unique” has been described as generic by someone else.
In fact, is a descriptor i have seen thrown to GG plenty of times on this site, and i dont mean the Xrd series, but the X and XX.
Or that Soriz is the generic old martial artist that is a macho pervert cool old guy
Or Vaseraga the generic badass with tragic past that is missunderstood or some shit like that.

I definitely don’t think vaseraga or soriz are unique though. Just think we need more generic cool characters in the game
