SFV’s netcode is an absolute lost cause. Even with the mods and stuff, it only makes the netcode “tolerable” rather than good. It’s just built on an extremely shit base because of their CFN dream. The only way they could truly fix the netcode would be to pull a MKX and literally rebuild the Netcode from the ground up but let’s be real, they don’t have the pride in the craft to actively go and do that.

Nail in the coffin will be if the new Battletoads is also piss easy since the original were known for busting your balls 24/7
I like the game too, BUT, that doesnt mean i will ignore its many, many flaws.
Is a game i can enjoy playing casually with some friends.
But not to take it seriously.
Gonna be honest. I don’t understand a lot of the general disdain for the netcode. As long as I match against someone who’s at least 4 bars, the connection is stable 99% of the time.
When it’s bad, yeah, it’s awful. But that’s been my expirience with rollback in literally any game. Am I missing something?
Desyncs. It may be good for you at 4 bars but it’s rarely ever good for both players at the same time. That’s the biggest issue.

I play(ed) SFV on PS4.
Since the netcode update, it went from taking 1-2 minutes to find a match with a 20% chance of having a bad connection, to taking 10-20 minutes to find a match with a 50% chance of having a bad connection.
I’m sure my ISP slowing down connections during covid has a fair bit to do with it, but all of my other games seem to play fine so I don’t bother anymore.

Has nothing to do with it. I have a pretty good connection and last time i tried and played it i experienced insane que times on both of my accounts that are in different brackets, Ultra Diamond and Super Gold. They fucked up something, it’s not your part.

That happens a lot now. So called “fans” revive old properties, completely disrespect them, and get annoyed at original fans for being disappointed. Now we just need a kid to post artwork in the vain of the original Battletoads design on Twitter and have the new fans attack the kid for not honoring the new look of the franchise.
Side Note: That shit actually happened to a girl that posted artwork based on the original She-Ra on Twitter. New fans attacked her for “white washing” characters that were white in the first place. Grown ass people going after a child.

Shut up. The new She-Ra series deserved the praise and recognition for it’s storytelling, representation, and actually being brave in it’s portrayal of gay characters. It is great even though I would have preferred some changes to the artstyle an action centered show that competently handled just doesn’t come around often in western animation.
On the other hand, Battletoads just looks cheap and unimaginative like someone else said looks like a cheap Kim Possible clone nothing like the new She-Ra when actually in motion. Game look just looks bland.
Most older She-Ra fans bellyaching about the new series deserve to get dunked on for defending old She-Ra as the high point of character design and writing when those aspects were sub-par for it’s time period as a show. Designs weren’t bad outright but nearly all men plus women looked exactly the same as the other with different clothing. The original toyline was pretty dope however.
I just got Soul Calibur and BBTag for 26$ on PSN. Plus I got Carrion on steam yesterday. I’m swimming in cheapass games rn
