Its the state of Capcom fighters atm. Go in with zero or low expectations and still come out disappointed.
It’s whatevs for me at this point, even the supposed 5 dlc characters can’t get me hype(unless T.Hawk, but lol at those chances).
I’mma stick to Tekken, SC and dabble with anime.
Also hoping Slayer gets into Strive. I will grind the fuck outta that game and I don’t care how dumbed down it’ll be.
Also I figured out why I can’t find any drive for Granblue.
It’s the Unist syndrome where I honestly don’t care about any of the characters. Gran and Zooey are alright, but I just feel nothing for em. It’s a bit of a shame Arcsys picked such a lack luster franchise when it comes to characters.
Oh well, give me slayer you fucks or show me more of that new character.
While I understand it for Undernight ( wouldn’t have touched the game with a 10 foot pole if I didn’t like Yuzuriha, regardless of how great it might play) There is still hope for Granblue, they have a fuckton of character being a gacha game and all, you never know if and when someone that will hook you up will come.
I’d rather have a new proper BB, or Tifa in Tekken, or strive right now, or any LITERALLY ANY, info on KoF XV right now.
Also just add more characters to Granble, ain’t that different from FGO.
I liked GBVS a lot at first, but a bunch of things in the system started annoying me. Then the patch hit and I didn’t like the changes much, so I just fell back to other games instead.
Kinda sad though. If you take pre-nerf Katalina and tone down her stupid corner damage instead of making her pressure more limited, you pretty much have a perfect FG character for me.
We have plenty of dope IPs in fighting games, it’s just that they have problems, mostly netcode.
I be all over a One piece Fighting game to be honest, but to reiterate, I’d rather have current IPs done the right way (yes even SF).
The current trend is releasing a game in phases, so instead of another sequel we get a new season of content. It is a flowchart that almost every game company has adapted to, unfortunately the “phase” takes priority over fixing a problem (outside of a balance patch).
I’d only care about a new KoF if the netcode isn’t drizzling shits. I love so many characters in that franchise too. Terry, Rock, Geese main for life, but the online has to playable.
Tifa in Tekken would print money and I’m all over Strive if Slayer is in.
Also maybe I’ll like the other dlc chars in GBVS, we’ll see.
I’ve heard talk about the game industry as a whole. Many argue that it needs a major crash so it may revert back to old business models since the current ones are designed to milk you out of every penny with sub part content.
But when 15 year olds constantly pump money into Fortnite because parents are too dumb to say no, i guess that ain’t happening anytime soon.
The main problem with GBVS is just that, small roster, in an era of massive rosters.
The more characters get added the better the game will feel for casuals.
Honestly the game is already great on a competitive level, you’ve all seen the 10vs10s and seen how much fun and hype they are. Hadn’t it been for CoVid I fully believe we’d be drooling over GBVS tournaments.
You mean the ones that didn’t include the Capcom/SF Teams that got annihlated like DSP got deleted by Wonderwaffle.
Cause these were painfull to watch.
I’m an idiot. I had a few minutes last night to play (but was too tired to play anything but muck around in training modes), and had some itch to play MK11.
Ten minutes later, I’m passing by the sale of BBTag and buying the Aftermath update… The only character I like is Fujin, but his best move was replaced with a wacker version on two of his tournament variations for the sole purpose of nerfing those variations… I hate their design philosophy on this game. How do you purposely make a shittier version of a move, and think you’re making something fun?
I still had fun in training mode though, lol. I’ll probably just mess around with it once in a while casually, with customs.
