How nice is the bar? A lot of low- and even mid-tier bars canāt make an old-fashioned properly and throw muddled fruit salad and club soda in it. If itās lower tier, Iād play it safer with a bourbon+Coke+lime or other simple order.

You should order a Long Island ice tea. Itās so good you donāt even taste the alcohol in it. Itās usually my main. Or a good old Appletini. Its essentially enhanced apple juice.

Ah ok. Ordering cocktails definitely depends on the vibe of the place. I wouldnāt order cocktails with fancy pretentious names and specific ingredients at a sports bar or a nightclub where youād order something like the āWet Pussyā
Iād say when in doubt, āJack and Cokeā is a safe bet.
