All i want is for the whole thing to be black, the ‘game over’ to be central and at least 6 inches from the top (to avoid the buttons).
I don’t care what size it comes out but as big as possible keeping it the same shape (no stretching or squashing to fit and as above, the top of the writing can’t be any higher than 6 inches from the top please.
If anyone can help that would be amazing and thanks in advance, and either way, thanks for your time

I’ve downloaded GIMP and been having a play, and managed to knock up exactly what I wanted… sort of!

That’s the right size, proportions and the image is as simple as that.
My problem now though, is that it isn’t very sharp.
I’d like the edges to be all crisp and clean.
I know that can be an issue when you make an image bigger than it initially was, but in this case I’ve actually shrunk the image slightly.
I’m sure it’s something very obvious and simple, but I have less experience with image software than I do with quantum physics.

Unfortunately, the fact I dont know my arse from my elbow on these things means it’s pretty useless to me!!!
I assumed that because it was so huge (i think it’s 55 inches long!!) that when I resized it to fit inside my black 12 inch canvas that it’d have nice crisp edges.
However, it seems even worse and pixelated!?!?!?! :wtf:
I’ve tried saving as various file types but none seems any better than another.
It’s simply down to me not knowing what the bloody hell I’m doing so I’ll get hunting google for some tutorials:bgrin:

The top of the case is 11.5 x 10 inches, so I guess 12 x 10.5 just to make sure i can trim it down to fit perfectly…
So long as the top of the writing is at least 6 1/2 inches from the top there’s nothing else to worry about.
The CP is already drilled so it’ll just be a case of sticking the buttons straight through it

You should message the maker of that stick art, xpl0sive, and see if he/she can change the button layout for you.
Also remove the image tags from your quote. It’s a rule here on the forums, especially here in Image Mishmash.

When you view it in Gimp, make sure to make the image scale 100% so you can see the clear edges.
I’m pretty sure there’s a Guile one on the last page over SE/TE Templates thread (Tech Talk). It’s on the correct resolution as well, I printed one today and it fit just fine, except I messed up a little and the white part of the template (the ones you’re supposed to cut off to put in the buttons) are appearing :mad:

I got two sticks and want to have Mokujin on one and Lars on the other one.
I wanted to make one layout with Mokujin where green where in focus then use the same layout style with red colours for the picture of lars, but i lack skill, it turned out pretty much crap… Hope some nice guy her can help me ?

And make the background completely black, leaving the characters and the “Shadaloo Organisation” intact. And then maybe do a black and white one (Black background, characters outlined in white)? No stick template is needed right now, that part I can get done eventually.
