To my understanding ranking applies to 1 character at a time. IE if you put a ton of rank ups on Gief your Dhalsim is still bottom ranked. Not sure if you knew that.

The way it works, 10th-1st Kyu it takes 3 WINS to get to the next rank, and 3 losses will demote you. Once we get to 1st-10th Dan there will be special ranking names, BUT it takes more to rank up. 5 wins to rank up BUT 3 losses and you will be demoted so things get a bit more real once you get into the dans.
You can only play players within 3 ranks of yourself. We do this to prevent grinding on lower level characters to boost your own character. This will also help determine true skill ranking for each player as well.
Your RANK and also how much you need to reach the next level will be displayed on the stream as well.
