It’s unblockable cos they are landing. When has like anyone ever here say deep SRKs are hard, or overhead into sweep, or whatever? Ryu is not about hard stuff, it is about manliness.
It’s easier than with Ryu and harder than with Ken, cos his DP move is faster than Ryu’s and slower than Ken’s. I’m hella slow, reacting is much more a problem than actually landing it deep: half the time Claw lands when I try it online with Ryu. Can you ask something that is actually hard? I can’t do Dictator or DJ’s combos, there has to be some hard O.Sagat stuff most people can’t do.
Yeah, no surprise to me either. I wanted to try some ST while visiting China in 2008 and this year, but the kind folks in the international board here told me there were no ST cabs in Beijing…
The fuck are you talking about? Dictator’s and Dee Jay’s Tods are piss easy dude. Are you fucking kidding me? Can you walk up/back half the screen and deep DP chun li’s j.lk? Can you react DP blanka or claw’s jumpin actually, while having to focus so hard on the ground game (especially against claw)? Or a jump in up close from a shoto? Can you time your uppercut perfectly after recovering from a low tiger, when you have just one frame to pull it off? Can you do 2 low forwards into tiger knee? Can do you two or three tiger knees and follow up with that combo immediately? Can you tiger uppercut honda’s headbutt midscreen on reaction? Can you do an ambiguous meaty crossup tiger knee? Can you walk up half the screen and do far standing strong canceled into tiger knee vs dhalsim? Can you perfectly space a crossup j.lk to get you out of the corner? Can you reaction sweep a sweep whiff from Chun? Can you outfootsie a character with such a slow walk speed? Do you know the correct tigers to throw at a given time and distance to give your opponent (you have 6 choices, instead of 3), so that your opponent can come to a thread on SRK and bitch about it? I’m just listing stuff off the top of my head.
I’m sick of all this bitching. You can go fuck yourself (I mean that in the nicest way). You might as well be a Brawl player.
Personal goals:
-Feature every character, including Akuma/Gouki in one way or another (Dummy appearances don’t count)
-Damage is all or nothing. Every clip must either have a 100% combo, with or without dizzy, or no damage at all with both characters playing a game of tag with no winner.
-Try to show unusual combos or links. Stuff that might be known, but isn’t wide-spread knowledge, or completely new stuff alltogether.
Actually, apparently it’s 5:4. I made it 16:9 so it would look better on youtube where most people would watch it anyway. The tiny, tiny, tiny black bars that now appear on either side shouldn’t be a nuisance to anyone. Hope that answers your questions.
cool dgv vs mysteriousfighter set from yesterday morning. didnt record the second ft10 unfortunately or omen and kuroppis match with MF (real shame too both of them played very well)
Info courtesy of KO-HATSU. I mentioned this tourney on GGPO and hope some folks watched it live. The actual Star Cup 2011 will be held on 11/13 but details are pending.
i am surprised there werent any o. sagats. like vega, he’s some braindead tactics but nonetheless, sim kills everybody ultimately during the day.
ryu, guile and sim appears to become typically the most popular figures in japan.
at this time, i am much less sure is bison even top tier. he will get locked lower really easily and it has no reversal against most stuff in the overall game.
fei versus bison appears to become a fun match. i question who arrives on the top tho. fei comes with an invincible anti air thats safe even if blocked and may lock bison lower with chickenwing kicks but bison has slightly longer pokes along with a larger throw range. i believe bison edges fei out by a little.
