The SSJ5 General Thread: E3 happening but Ono doesn't Spirit Bomb

Twinblades is an Ultra Platinum Cammy by nature.

Making Platinum is a foregone conclusion when he decides to *actually *do it.

So you’re saying that he can easily make it there if wanted to?

Hmm… now I feel bad, I don’t think he’s bad, but I assumed that he had a hard time getting there.

Sorry.

Correction: You balance 3/4 of the cast and give the other 1/4 everything and beyond because fuck us.

Looked at some comments about the delay on r/sf and r/kappa…

Why is everyone bitching? This is the only SF game ever made to add characters which you can get for free every couple of months or so. People are getting mad spoiled with this. Also, people bitched like shit when they rushed the game out. Now Capcom are actually doing the right thing by delaying things to make sure they go through some QA, and people are losing their shit. I’m not defending Capcom for their past fuckups, but let them do their thing right now to make sure when this gigantic patch DOES come out, that it’s the best thing to happen to the game.

April update no longer happening in April.

Capcom has not exactly engendered a lot of goodwill to burn, and now they got more broken promises to boot!!!

Don’t feel bad. I’m mostly exaggerating. I just think Twinblades is a much better player than he believes.

You guys…

Sniff sniff when I finally win Evo I’m gonna mention every last one of you who believed in me

R/Kappa hates the game with a passion, expecting anything else is ridiculous.

You’re right. Those people are pretty much septic tank of the fgc. What was I thinking?

Yep, when you buy injustice and I train you, you will reach your next level and become a better player

I guess none of you play this game after all. Hmph.

I wanted to but instead a capcop took me behind a dark alley and gave me a severe beating

Having worked in sales when I was younger, it’s much better to tell people - it’ll be 3 weeks and face the short burst of anger than tell them it’ll be next week, then that next week tell them, sorry definitely next week then that next week tell them…sometime in the next couple of weeks. That’s when they hit up your boss and say - " the fuck is up with this guy - never coming back here again"

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with waiting to get things right, just don’t keep crying wolf, it makes you look like a retard. Hardly anybody will buy the S3 pass and I’m surprised anybody bought the S2 pass.

Personally I don’t care, the patch won’t change much for me so I’m not that fussed about it.

Yo fuck Twin Peaks. I will never understand the love for that show. Got through season 1 and half of season 2 and regret every second of it.

U dare besmirch Laura Palmers memory…

But yeah Twin peaks watch season 1 then maybe watch firewalk with me but fuck s2

I will make my return to SFV when Capcom fixes the game.

I mean that’s just how long I have to buy these parts for a new computer. I miss using SFV Nash so much, take me back Capcom. ;-;

The start up isn’t that long. Not impossible to react to, but if you end up blocking it you now have a grappler in your face. Considering many characters can’t do much more than maybe hit her with a medium button it the risk/reward there is pretty messed up.

Yes it isn’t, but when it was it was one of the derpiest moves in the game. Although c.HP > V-Trigger is still a get in for free in this game.

I don’t use Ken any more.

As I said before I don’t buy the “needs meter” argument in a game where meter is cheap. Speaking of which I forgot Cammy’s V-Skill as well is another move like that.

You can’t AA slide on reaction because one of the better ways to use it is to space it out in front of the opponent where the slide will make their AAs whiff, but you are still close enough that palm is a threat. EX Slide is always plus on block and it slides a good quarter of the screen. And actually Tokido uses it to side switch all the time.

Don’t care if it is a projectile. It’s a easy way to advance while keeping frame advantage.

Great now if only my characters had one that would go through that would be excellent! Rashid shits on a lot of characters who don’t have a move that can beat the tornado consistently.

I had a pocket Fang and yes I played him consistently. You only need to learn how to time the move so you don’t expand your hit box too early. He’s hard to hit while in the stance. Against characters without safe lows it’s really good property wise. It’s only problem it’s attached to a character that does no damage.

Yes, but again 4 frame jab characters especially in S1 it was abusable as all hell. I know because I did it.

It’s a “if you don’t interrupt this you are in a mix up” move that also can CC if you react too late.

Doesn’t stop Bison players from randomly throwing it out. Why not? What’s there to lose?

Same result in the end. You get to throw something out and it gets you in. It’s pretty low risk too since it’s way too risky for the opponent to anti-air.

Akuma can’t V-Reversal unless you V-Reversal before the explosion. But the simple fact you HAVE to V-Reversal to stop Ibuki from getting in for free is exactly my point. The only thing the Ibuki player did was get you to block a normal.

BTW never said there were zero counters. Rather that these are moves that require far more effort to stop than to do them while for many of those moves the reward is quite high. I also didn’t include moves like Urien’s Knee Drop, Dhalsim dive kick, S1 Chun Air Legs, Rashid V-Trigger, etc. There’s a massive number of moves that if you fail to interrupt them

The game is loaded with “just do it” moves. Then you get into the CC buttons you can throw out and hope for a random CC because you can’t really control if the CC is going to happen on many of those buttons. And worst yet when the opponent gets into your face you have close to no defensive options.

The game is an incoherent mess.

Alpha 3’s World Tour Mode is so damn fun. I forgot how creative it was.

I played the shit outta this when I was younger.
