The SSJ5 General Thread: E3 happening but Ono doesn't Spirit Bomb

Nope its been screenshot on the ps store before it was changed.

I stopped by the comic store to play a magic event I havent played magic in a decade it was neat

one of the kids said jebaited and I was like “do you even know who jebaily is” and they were confused and had a peasants frown upon their face.

i see you sourced this from eventhubs.

Nigga we already knew that… the hell

People actually talk like this? The hell does that even mean?

Honestly I don’t fuckin know twitch generation of kids like twinblades is just fucked, best to melt the lot of them down into a vat so their nutrients can provide succor for the next and hopefully improved generation.

Always be weary of a person who uses twitch chat emoticons in real life.

saying “winky face” is perfectly acceptable though, winky face

I think Ed could be something pretty cool.

I’m thinking along the lines of a Balrog/Cody mash up with a sprinkling of Lord Bison would be interesting.

I’m sure he’s gonna be a motion character though. he’ll probably have motion dash punches and a dive kick cause why not.

I don’t go on that site. The Juri thread sourced it from EH.

Both his “parents” are charge characters, the apple can’t fall too far from the tree. Plus there are enough motion characters already. Must you take everything dear away from me?

ed gonna have fastest walkspeed

prepatch bison sf4 stand roundhouse

ssf4 psycho punisher

and will be the answer to all my hopes and prayers

“Haha GG”

I don’t remember where I was or if I was watching something but I distinctly remember hearing some clown actually say he was “triggered”. Like dude could you be any more corny right now.

oh wow tough guy here!!!

“i dont go to no eventhubs, the handiest site for news in the fgc im just too good for that shit”

You will wait in the FGC news breadline like the rest of us plebs!!!

wha it was the best version of the move ya dang guy

Naw, this isn’t funny mate.

I don’t think it’s ideal to make fun of an event failing. Remember that CEO run events for fighting games also, so any financial losses they incur for a failed event can spill over into future events for genres that you may enjoy, be it spectating or attending in general.

This failure strikes me as a shortcoming on the planning over the genre and titles featured. I run events for years and put a lot of focus on ensuring not only did things incur zero losses, but that any profits made went into boosting pots and prizes combined with adding to a slowly growing kitty that the community could draw on thereafter for things such as community monitors, sticks, extra consoles, ranbat pot boosts, etc.

This was all achieved by ensuring entry fees (which ostensibly you gear around covering venue hire costs stacked against reasonably projected and concrete attendance numbers) remained as lean as absolutely possible.

Another key factor is keeping in mind school and University schedules, public holidays and events (say, a concert, sports event or popular movie release) and indeed OTHER tournaments so as to ensure you don’t clash, thus incur sub-optimal attendance and community coverage. Location accessibility is also a huge factor. Never underestimate your target audience’s unwillingness to travel sometimes.

We successfully maintained this for years. We were very careful to communicate our methods and overall battleplan for this kind of fiscal management and scheduling to the team we passed the reigns onto also.

It sounds to me like CEO didn’t adhere to some of these concepts. The idea of a 20k loss is absolutely shocking to me and totally unnecessary. Evidently they overshot a few things and perhaps went a bit overboard on some unnecessary flair. Balancing the financials aside, the one aspect I always kept in mind was the simple fact that dudes just plain want to turn up, drop a few bucks, catch up with their community mates and play games. That’s it. It’s not complicated, nor is it expensive to achieve.

I know, but it’s reserved as Bison’s CA II in SF5: 30th Anniversary Edition to be released in Q1 2018.

You can keep the rest though.

Relying on smashers and thinking that they will do right by you and then very obviously failing is actually very funny.

bash the smash!!!
