The SSJ5 General Thread: E3 happening but Ono doesn't Spirit Bomb

Hmm… never mind. I don’t think I’ve articulated myself well enough.

I almost want to say it’s cause people don’t want to admit they don’t actually like the game. Like they just want their nostalgia characters so they can remember back to a time they actually enjoyed themselves.

people get pretty hype about GG story characters ending up playable. Raven had been in the story but not playable for like 15 years and people were happy he was usable in game.

That’s a legit complaint. I don’t have a problem with that complaint. I personally don’t mind that we are getting new playable characters but I didn’t care that SF3 had a mostly new cast either. Different strokes for different folks.

Can that dinosaur doctor fight? Forget his name, I think paradigm…

I’d play that guy lol

The problem is that characters introduced in SFV story mode were pretty lame. I can’t see how anyone could be looking forward to playing with Ed, Azam or Byron. Kolin doesn’t even count because she is a SF3 char.

I think he was playable in that one non-2D fighting game they made. But I remember a friend telling me he placed relatively low on a popularity poll, so I don’t really expect him to become playable any time soon.

Ed’s cool, shut your damn mouth!

Kind of interested to see Ed.
Byron was only going to be cool if he used LINE(is it even still called that?)/CQC/something akin to combat sambo…
Psycho Power kid raised(?) by Balrog sounds pretty interesting imo.

I don’t even care that the story chars are playable characters. It is odd that it bothers people although I still think SF5 is not a great game.

I will say I am glad that I am not a MVC fan because those rumours are sounding dire if I was a hardcore fan. I don’t even know why they brought the stupid ass infinity stones back outside of some retarded marvel universe pimping even if they modify their mechanics. I disliked them back in marvel super heroes.

New characters are always a risk, but how will new classics be born if they don’t take that risk? Should every SF be the same popular shotos taking up every slot over and over? Those of you begging for Sagat are probably gonna be pretty salty when you realize he no longer has any fireballs and is completely different than what he used to be. New characters are needed too. Obviously the classics are gonna be requested more, because nostalgia, we know who they are, etc. But we have plenty of requested characters right now that were new in the past, let’s not forget this.

Complaining just because they were in the story? They are still new characters, I don’t like or give a shit about Capcom, but it seems like you’re reaching hard with this hate right now…

Maybe he will be tolerable with a redesign. They will have to work harder than they did with Kolin, I want a change from the concept art on.

But seriously, I always considered Ed, Azam and Byron as afterthoughts only made for the story experience. I imagined Capcom would try harder with these characters if they were meant to be playable.

I am not against new characters but I want cool ones.

Since inj2 is right around the corner this feels right to make

down down dp interfering with wavedashing inputs is going to be my favorite possible clusterfuck now that I think about it.

Is it the first time you guys saw a post from him or what?

Dude either post CPT stuff or bitch about Capcom. Funnily enough other games like **cough **KOF14*cough … that is constantly praised by similar minded individuals had the online broken for several weeks where you couldnt even play a match but we sweep stuff like that under the rug.

I mean who cares , right ? Oh SNK is so perfect. Any who, it is better not to discuss. Some people just like to try too hard.

Imagine if SF never introduced Cammy or Juri. Both characters ended up being extremely popular…

I’d take Cody/Adon over many characters, but sometimes you gotta take that leap. Never thought I’d like Laura past her aesthetics, but here I am finding her fun to play.

Gotta give things a chance sometimes. Even with Capcom lol.

They probably made the new dp motion down down so you can teabag your opponent and then suddenly DP them in the face.

The funny thing is most of the Capcom Defense Squad use the SF3 roster as an example of how not putting historical characters could kill the game. Dejà vu. I need to put my hopes in s3 then since none of the actual roster intrigues me enough, the newcomers even less.

I have to say that by this point i am surprised that no one was expecting that MvCI would be even more simplified than MvC3 was.
After all this game has way more involvement from disney than MvC3 had.
Of course they will be interested that this game will have more broad appeal (specially now that the MVCU is so popular), and “complex” () motions are one of those things that are percieved as a detrimental on letting newcomers to enjoy fg’s.

I have been saying this since the game was announced, anyone expecting this game to be even remotely aas the old game is setting himself for a huge dissapointment.
It has been clear that Capcom wants to make their games more “accessible” and now with the involvement of Disney on this game you can expect them to make huge changes that no many will be fan of.

I bet that one of the gems will add an auto combo mode or something like that  if they don’t decide to just copy P4A from the get go
