I think shoryuken priority should be turned down, that way it becomes completely useless…kinda like PC.

I don’t know about you guys but I wouldn’t mind if Bison’s S.hk was totally horizontal and had a pixel more range than his s.mk. It would be much better vs other characters sweeps ect than it currently is and it would really improve his ground footsie game.

If they did this though they’d definitely need to give c.hp a bit of a faster startup. Not as fast as s.hk but faster than it is now.

Well I find s.mk to be efficient enough and even if s.hk is not the best AA ever it’s still very usefull the way it is (though it can be interesting I really don’t think they’ll give c.hp a startup fast enough to be a reliable anti-air).

Thats always made me laugh. Just like how can Honda suddenly muster enough momentum to propel himself from standing position across the entire screen.

If s. hk becomes horizontal what would even be the use for s. mk since they have the same startup?

Now if they switched as in mk is the anti air and hk is the ranged I wouldn’t mind too much, I still think it’s alright the way it is.

Really? I got thrown out of both PC and SK startup frames. I remember I was playing Zohta’s Gief at CF and I went to EX PC through him for the win and he fucking ultra’s me when I was already in the PC animation. I’ll never forget how that shit made me feel. :frowning:

HS trades with a LOT, DR is useless now, S.RH trades with everything. If you play Bison you’ll understand just how poor his priority is. If I have to hope for a EX HS trade against Ryu’s DP then something is seriously wrong.

Yeah I mentioned earlier. His old ST roundhouse was much more useful. I think you could still use it to prevent them from jumping too.

Still don’t see why slide juggle wouldn’t “work”. I suggested the slide because it’s not an abusable move, but you do land it every now and then as a punish. It would be cool to be able to juggle off it with something like jump mpx2, then ultra or straight into EX stomp.

But how would a slide launch your opponent? It sweeps their legs out from under them. Not to mention that it’s bisons ONLY knockdown normal. So if it caused a juggle state Bison would lose the ability to cause knockdown with any normal attacks and I think causing Knockdown is way more important to Bison than causing juggle would be. The best thing for Bison to act as a launcher would be C.Fierce or EX Paint the fence if he gets it.

Is it that difficult to see him knocking people off their feet into the air? Think of Paul’s falling leaf from Tekken.

As for an untechable knockdown, he still has throws for that. Slide rarely leaves you in a favorable position for a crossup because of the crap recovery on it and we all know Bison’s “mixup” game is ass anyway.

I’d take guaranteed damage off the slide over knockdown possibilities.

Anyway, don’t take the suggestion too seriously, I was just throwing ideas around.

I would vote for a 5% damage boost for Bison, depending upon how good his ultra 2 is going to be. Once he gets a reliable ultra he just won’t need it anymore.

His slide launches while doing his custom combo in CvS2.

Yeah a custom combo Ultra for Bison with paint the fence woulda been the shiznit. I would accept Slide launching under that circumstance but not any other.

Whatever damage boost should probably be applied across some of his normals (30dmg c.lk would be nice) and not just his specials imo. Though PC probably should get at least either a significant stun or dmg boost if its just as shitty as it currently is.

^^ round house dmg is fine as it is. I’d rather his s.mk do like 80-90 though. He should be able to beat most characters in footsies and a slight damage boost to s.mk would discourage Ryu players from constantly fishing for c.mk xx hadouken combos and be a bit better at discouraging random sweeps from Balrog, Chun and Akuma.

Ex scissor should probably do something like 150-160dmg though for sure.

I’d rather headstomp just be safer than get any damage boost. I’d even take a damage cut if itd mean it is redesigned in away to make it less punishable (would give it more utility). I recommended something earlier in the thread like giving lk,mk,hk versions different ranges/recovery and making lk less punishable than HK but HK gets more range. Ex stomp should be just as safe as EX Tiger Knee and EX tatsu though :stuck_out_tongue:

If headstomp wasn’t so retardedly punishable itd be way more useful. Think ryu/sagat are going to dp after the blocked scissor- ex stomp. Think they’re mashing through the block string? Cancel into ex stomp.

he needs a damage boost. He isnt really a combo character, so his PC, HS, Ex HS, could all get boosted in damage.

one thing dictator seriously needs is to have the somersault skull driver tweaked. at present it is punishable as hell. I mean you can FA to ultra the thing, DP it, jumping HK or j.HP it, C.hp anti-air it, duck it, etc. the thing needs to be an actuall mix up that you cant just punish. this would give the head stomp more effectiveness and reset dictators mind games.

I think this whole issue about his HK being changed back to the ST version is silly. his S.mk is a perfect horizontal poke and his HK is great for snuffing jumps and other things. also this is great for punishing things just out or range and hitting people out of the air.

the combination of standing HK and an improved PC in terms of speed both of duration and start-up would make dictator able t punish runaway players much easier forcing them to fight him by rushing him. this would draw them into his mind games, which of course would be totally fair because the prize for beating him at those mixups is that he has limited defense, which is his weakness,
currently by being able to run from Bison almost for free and also being able to rush him down just is not fair.
