Really? Damn…it’s not anything to actually bitch about. Something to comment on, sure, but not THAT big a deal. Any other problems he has with other games? He sounds like someone who’d have some REALLY dumb (and entertaining for srk) gripes.
lol I doubt it.
Abster is is fanboy bitch who only cares about blood, storyline, and chamcham fanfics.
…Dammit, now you guys got me interested! I gotta go there and look up this dude’s posts. I have to see this idiocy for myself.
I’ve been told that this game is representing festival time, and that historically during this time bloodshed is not allowed. So it’s kinda a story thing.
Gasp, we have to concentrate on the gameplay instead! OH NOES
btw, this isn’t nitpicking at you, just that even though it’s a Sam Sho game there doesn’t need to be blood. I personally like the blood/fatalities too, but gameplay comes first.
Oh, right! I read that somewhere and forgot it. Thanks!
No shit, so many good games are coming out, glad I’m downloading all (yeah I’m evil, big whoop, wanna fight about it?)
NGBC
Psychic Force (well, decent)
MGS3 Substance
Samurai Shodown VI (this game, duh)
Last Blade collection
Damn…this Abster fool manages to say stupid stuff at least 2 times per page…and gets flamed 4-6 times on the same pages. “Gameplay whores” roflmao
ah you’ve discovered the idiocy that is abster… it’s truly a beautiful thing to behold.
I know I may be irritating at times…(lol)
But I want to express my gratitude for whoever Merged all the threads together…thank you very much…I highly appreciate it and I am sure all the SST people do as well…
Thank you very much!!! I notice these things!!!
Yeah and Abster is fucking retarded…seriously…
I was expecting to go in Ngeo forums and read pertinent info…but OH NO…I read like 8 pages of BS about why he aint gonna play the game bc it doesnt have blood…
Remember that the same one who curses and rants and raves and closes threads does it all for you. I’m the People’s Mod.
Now shut up about it or I’ll close the thread.
Yessir…
Rhio: Guys…look at the stupid stuff this Abster guy posts, and the responses he apparently craves…
Scully: What’s WRONG with him?
Doggett: Scully, you’re familiar of the principle of Occam’s Razor?
Scully: Yeah…you take every possible explanation and you choose the simplest one. Agent Mulder used to refer to it as “Occam’s Principle of Limited Imagination”.
Rhio: I’m gonna go with borderline retarded fuckwit.
Scully: I agree.
Doggett: Works for me.
Yeah Abster is an idiot…probably doesnt even know how to play the game lol.
All right Fubarduck care to share with me/us why Cham Cham is top tier in this game? (For Absters sake LOL)
If its she same reasons she was in SS2 then I don’t need to know…Im just wondering if there’s anything new, I havent seen too many Cham Cham vids…everything for her seems much faster though…which helps on wakeup I’m sure… (Monkey fb etc)
Also Sogetsu seems tops for the same reason…I know this question may be out to fubarduck but feel free anyone else that knows about this game to answer…until I actually will be able to experiment with it myself.
I have not seen any really good Cham Cham’s in my area, but Tougeki qualifiers start this weekend so I’m sure I’ll see some soon enough. I’ll keep an eye out and let you know.
Sogetsu has a waterfall move that takes up a whole pillar on the screen (like Goenitz in SVC Chaos) and is pretty hard to avoid. If Sogetsu reads you correctly, it is really hard to get in on him. He also has some water bubble move that is good for okizeme, you can throw one in front of them while they’re getting up from a knockdown and then get a free mixup (like a mini-Aegis sort of). However, I haven’t seen any great Sogetsu’s in my area either so I’ll try to keep this thread updated with what I learn from watching the Tougeki qualifiers.
Yeah, there’s a cool Sogestsu ambiguous crossup post-throw, using the bubble. If you throw and they don’t roll back, throw a bubble and teleport to the other side. Depending on when you teleport, they could have to block the bubble either way. And of course it’s very practical since tech rolls are vulnerable.
Dark Geese pretty much everyone plays the way they did in previous installments honestly, the only thing that makes much of a difference IMO is the Modes you play in. Cham Cham = Claws, fireball traps, crossups. Sogetsu = keepaway, traps, with strong punishers (what passes for strong in Tenka), Mina = Mina. If you ever played previous installments of these characters you have a good idea. Although imo genan = raped.
Thanks Uncauzi!!! One again good info for my research…always good stuff to have!!!
Thanks Fubarduck…I kinda figured Sogetsu was THE SAME SINCE SSIV…nothing really changing…which is why he is STILL high tier…sigh…
I had some questions about this game, let’s see if I can remember them…
I saw Kazuki use a move that instantly gave him a level 3 charge (from nothing at all). Looked like a EX super from the SS6 groove, but he was using SS2 groove. Didn’t look like it used meter of any kind, what’s up with this move?
Sometimes I see Enja’s super firepillar do a ‘failed’ version that only does 1 hit (but seems to still do decent damage). What’s up with this move?
I’ve seen an Enja move awhile back that reflected stuff like the SS1 groove A+B but looked different, he charged forward with a HS. Is this just a special move for him or does it have something to do with SS1 groove?
I’ve seen Haomaru do a super-duper hardslash with this enormous startup animation. No flash, it wasn’t a SS1 A+B. Is this just a special move? Seems to combo off a deep jump in HS.
And an old question, I figure the answer is no, but I’ll ask again. In SS1 groove, you can cancel moves on block into A+B, but can you do it on hit? Like Hao HSxxA+B?
Oh yeah and I noticed that charge speed in SS3 groove is affected by how fast the character gains meter. Enja can get a free full bar everytime he knocks you down lol.
I guess I’ll edit this if I think of anything else.
goddamn it double post

Why does Ukyo’s air hcf+S hit a lot of times?
Also, seems I was right about every other groove being better than SS2 groove at keeping the opponent’s weapon away, watch Ukyo vs Shizumaru. Sure, SS2 groove gives guaranteed no-weapon time, but when it comes back it gets throw straight to them. With any other groove it’s flipped away, and you have a chance to dash against the downed opponent and push them offscreen, never to see their weapon again.
