So hammering out a time Saturday. I actually think my family is hosting a christmas party so I cannot play but I can certainly run it. I suppose putting time constraints on the tournament will make it run smoother, I think if everyone is present it should not take more than 2 hours? Once we have time I’ll make the topic.
Oh, and more feedback on the killing items please. I had 1v1s with Goddess a while back and while I did solidly, he absolutely dominated me on account of items. It felt GREAT though, because he knew how to work them in a duel and I did not, so I really want to advocate items but again the “someone has a freeze rocket staredown…” Also noticed in each match set items keep spawning. I guess it makes it fair because if someone gets an item kill chances are that item will appear again.
Lastly can a vita be used as a camera and record to things on youtube albeit with bad quality? If so after xmas I can record all my tournament matches.

ISorry I have been late about times. I am doing a big pre-christmas party and no one knows if it is Saturday or Sunday so I do not want to commit to one just yet. It might be done by the evening so how would 9-10:30ish eastern time Saturday sound to people? Like the sfxt place I was thinking we can use IRC chat for everyone to meet up beforehand which is easier to keep track of than the board here.

Oh barnacles! Party is Sunday for me so I planned it for Saturday. Well if it goes well then we will be having lots more that you can enter in, and if it is abysmal then you won’t have to worry about missing it.

Not sure if this thread is the right place to put this, but someone on IGN is starting a league apparently.
Brief summary:
-Players will be placed into conferences of 20 players each
-10 week long league, 2 matches or so per week --> 1st place in each conference will play off in a tournament
-Only 1 of each character is allowed in each conference (hence 20 characters for 20 players). I don’t know how much of an issue this will be when it comes to getting to play the character you want to use. Must use same character for all matches.
-Signup deadline is Dec 24, 12 PM CST
More information in the link. Let me know if I made any mistakes in the summary. My guess is that the level of play won’t be as high as the SRK tournaments, but there will most likely be a lot more entrants.

my only concern is whether or not its worth the time they are suggesting it will. That layout is bad for people with a lot to do, sometimes you can’t sit down for a match, so you forfeit? This is still just a game, not my job. Unless IGN wants to pay me 50k for the year to be the best spike, then sure
