the one thing too is, if you got the matrix on hd dvd you can see how they cheated a lot
i borrowed the regular dvd’s to check and there’s a couple scenes on the hd dvd version where you can clearly see keanu reeves is computer generated and not an actor. his face is all blocky and 2001 graphics. its not as obvious on the dvd version unless you’re looking for it (i asked someone to watch the dvd version and hd dvd after and they’re like what wait)
my one complaint though is that the last fight between smith/neo was kind of anticlimatic. The films had so many good action scenes and that one was kind of a let down by comparison.
i just scored house party 1-3 on dvd for $5 combined all sealed. can’t wait to watch that tonight!!! the father from house party 1, robin harris, is a really underrated comedian. died way too soon

Oh man Encore Action has been playing some old movies i haven’t seen in forever.
First it was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Movie which i still think is an awesome movie to this day. Love the movie ranger costumes they used and the guy playing Ivan Ooze was funny.
Then they played Double Dragon. which made me notice that Paul Dini actually had a hand in writing the story for this movie. Like how do you go from doing an awesome show like Batman The Animated Series to Double Dragon.
I just bought The Last Emperor a few months ago.:wasted: I hope Vittorio Santorio or whatever the fuck his name is doesn’t insist on fucking with the aspect ratio again.
my name is bruce, surveillance, trailer trash, where the wild things are, how to lose friends & alienate people, the curious case of benjamin button, the day the earth stood still, the fighter, plus a bunch of straight to dvd stuff
who knows what else will be announced
Saw Iron Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall this weekend.
Iron Man was amazing. Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark. The style, the humor, everything. Excellent casting job. The FX were top notch, although the action was rather limited considering how much potential the fight scenes had. Very good Iron Man suit design.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall, like most Apatow comedies, really needed a good editor, particularly in the first act. Good lord that movie dragged in the beginning. Once it hit the 2nd act, it got immensely more enjoyable, and when Bell’s character got more screen time, the movie really clicked.
27 Dresses- Your typical below average chick flick…4 out 10
Golden Compass - After hearing lots of negative remarks towards this film i was pleasantly surprise…Had a really good feeling like a final fantasy type story…The ending could have been better though 8.5 out 10
Mad Monkey Kungfu - Lau Kar Leung’s master piece…Man the choreography is just kick ass & ending is too good… 9 out 10
