The SRK Movie Fanatic Thread (REVIEWS, QUESTIONS, RANTS, STARS...ETC.) EVERYTHING!

Watch Internal Affairs. Departed was fun to watch, but it’s almost like a satire skit (‘what if Scorcese directed Internal Affairs’) instead of a legitimate movie adapted from the original. A lot of what was ‘stupid’ in Departed was performed and directed as ironic tragedy in IA.

i haven’t seen bolt yet. :frowning:

but yeah, i wouldn’t say it had me laughing non-stop, but i laughed each time they were trying to be funny. the jello monster (seth rogen) is too funny. plus i found the huge insect monster (forgot it’s name) hilarious.

i saw it on plain 2-d though - i wonder if it’ll be ‘better’ in 3-d

70% on rotten tomatoes, not that that means a whole lot: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/monsters_vs_aliens/

Don’t know a single cinema that has the 3D version :lame:

Infernal Affairs trilogy is amazing. The trilogy as a whole is definetly in my top 5 movies oAT. I really like the Departed as well but IA is better(it’s HK BTW.)

Another Tim Burton-animated movie coming out, 9.

Looks pretty good. I guess with “Coming Home” playing in the background kinda helps the trailer out. hehe

Tim Burton is just an exec producer on 9, and the song is Welcome Home

:nunchuck: :wgrin:

Saw AKA Tommy Chong, wasn’t very good. I mean, it’s a subject that interests me, but it was not very well made. The only part I actually enjoyed was the part about the government spending 12 million tax dollars to bust him for selling bongs on the net…he got 9 months in federal minimum security prison. 9 months, for 12 million dollars…

pwned. Shows how worldly I am.

is role models really considered related to apatow?

i thought the main guys who did it were in the state improv comedy group. one of them dated joey in dawsons creek

or is it just considered apatow because it goes on way too long

Nah, because anything with any of those Apatow actors in it, I call it an Apatow comedy, regardless of his actual involvement. It’s really not Apatow related, even in content…

he really only has one, Corpse Bride. and a short named stainboy or something

but he gets all the credit for nightmare before xmas for some reason

ah when i think of paul rudd i think of the kid who ruined halloween or the guy from Gen-Y cops. awesome japanese robot action movie starring him

i guess he did make a bunch of the secondary actors famous though even though they been around for a while. like that guy who gets hit with the car in superbad who is in every movie now it seems. he’s been around forever

Yeah…I atually read something that said Judd tries to get Jason Segel into any movie he can because he talked him out of going to college to work on Freaks and Geeks, only to have it cancelled after 12 eps…he’s one of those “stick with the same people” directors like Christopher Guest…

if you want to see paul rudd at his best

it sums up the entire movie in 8 minutes, but if you can get it ond vd its worth it

^

Red Band Trailer for Bruno

oh man, that was great…I think I’ve seen enough of it n those 8 minutes…

Hey, this may seem random but I am a film student and I recently finished filming my senior thesis project. I need some feedback on a rough cut and I was wondering if any of y’all would be willing to help me out. It runs at about 12 minutes. PM if interested.
