I’ve seen some trailers for 500 Days of Summer. Could be a bit on the indie/emo side for me. I am a fan of anything Zooey Daschanel is in, mostly because I want to bang her. I’ll probbaly catch this one simply because it looks like something my wife would like.
Anyone used to read the NOW Comics Terminator from the late 80s/90s? I don’t remember the quality of the stories, but that’s how long I’ve been waiting for this part of the Terminator saga to show up on the big screen…
The Happening forever scarred my soul.
Well, I’m the ooposite with M Night…I avoid his films like the plague…even if someone I want to bang is in it…
Haha, Catch 22.
yup i was all about the NOW terminator comics…actually the second-to-last issue of that series was one of the first comics i ever bought. Damn I wish DH or someone would get the rights to those and release a tpb…
I am fairly positive about movies in general and give everything a chance but this shit was so random, boring, depressing AND hilarious…:wasted:
theres a movie I’ve always liked called BEN X that I see comes out on netflix this week. It’s about a picked on high school student who is really into a world of warcraft-like game, has an in-game girlfriend etc and slowly retreats into the fantasy world. It’s a really good movie I would recommend.
ok, so i finally saw Martyrs, and fuck me that shit was amazing…i have not been “scared” like that since forever, like that shit could traumatize you, if i living by myself i would be super paranoid, i was still a little paranoid during the night and im still thinking about this movie and its been like 2 days, hard to get out of my mind…this is a true fucking horror movie, like straight up raw…
my gf saw it with me and she said she didnt like it because of the “reason” they were doing what they were doing (it will make sense once you see the movie) but she said that indeed it was hella intense and she was scared as well…i thought the “reason” made sense so i had no problem with it…

Fantastic Four Movie franchise to be rebooted…again?
I guess my take on this is…why?
The 2 recent FF movies made good bank.
I understand that Superman, Daredevil, and a bunch of over movie franschise need a reboot again…but why Fantastic Four? I mean the cast wasn’t bad, save a few.
Are studios really trying to mimic the success of Dark Knight?
agreed. my only problem was doctor doom sucked, alba was horribly miscast, and FF2 was a steaming pile of crap that ruined the silver surfer.
Let the Right One in, JCVD and that bollywood kung fu movie (something something in China?) are all on DVD now.
Also, Howard the Duck is on DVD today.
So is Milk. I really want to get Let the Right One In after all the hype it’s gotten.
Hollywood is basically like the mainstream comics industry at this point: in the rare event that a risky idea (e.g. rebooting a flagging franchise) turns out splendidly, they will turn it into a trend and flog it to death.
Milk is pretty terrific. I saw it on the big screen the other day. It seems to be gone from most places, and the DVD release will probably end its theatrical run definitively. However you end up seeing it, it’s worth seeing.
Is this movie any good? I’ve seen his old movies, but I haven’t seen this in theatres (probably a limited release).
Seriously? I wonder if this movie is ridiculous, like most bollywood movies are. Like, in one scene there’s some fighting, and then in the next scene, they’re singing. There was this one movie that I actually thought was good. It was some cricket-themed underdog movie. Yeah, it had singing.
I agree. This is the reason I didn’t get too upset when Penn won for best actor, he was amazing as Harvey Milk. Kind of upset they didn’t put the Dead Kennedy’s cover of “I Fought the Law” on the soundtrack, it’s basically about the whole incident, as well as DK being a San Fran band…
Yup, I saw the Star Trek trailer too and it looked spectacular! I’m anxious to see it and I’m far from a fan…
told ya!
script was underwhelming but I think Raimi’s direction elevates it…trailer looks like a lot of fun.
