Anyone else liked Defiance?

The committed the cardinal sin of telling and not showing. The movie could have been so much better, it detracted from what was actually onscreen.

I enjoyed it. I wasn’t expecting it to be as long as it was, but it was worth the price of admission. Needless to say I didn’t make any Jew jokes for about two weeks, and CoD WaW had me and my lil bro pointing out guns, heh.

i liked the original more…

maybe i didnt think the original was THAT cheesy cause i was so young when i saw it???

i guess if you look at the first 4 its not that bad of a storyline with an ending. there’s still somethings that don’t make sense, like I thought alice was from california, but how does jason show up there and kill her and put his mothers head in the fridge? oh and 2/4 don’t even take place on "friday the 13th.

i think having a 12 year old kid kill him too was horrible but oh well.

after that it just went completely downhill. tommy went from 12 to 40 in 3 years. jason wasn’t even in 5. 6 was pretty bad with the lightning, but i liked how they actually had kids in this one. 7 was probably the best of the post final chapter. the ending to jason takes vancouver with the toxic waste was horrible. he was only in 9 for a minute. i actually liked jason x though it was pretty lame at parts.

still decent set of movies, probably my third favorite though. i’d put nightmare before elm and hellraiser before it.

halloween i’m kind of on the fence about because 1 was great and then it just really went to crap. occasionally there would be some good but then you get crap like #6 [get the producers cut if you want to watch it, must better. you can usually find the bootleg on ebay since no one will ever release it]

plus loomis never died. he was worse than jason.

Everyone gonna see ā€œdatā€ Street Fighter in 8 days?

so it doesnt need to be a secret anymore…i saw the new street fighter like a month ago…let’s just say i missed raoul julia…

wow. that bad eh…

so slumdog won a lot shit, most of which i dont know if it really deserved…i mean it was good but not THAT good…

Was Slumdog the best pic of the year? No. Was it the best movie nominated by the Oscars for Best Picture? Yeah probably.

Funny People’s trailer is out…I know everyone is getting sick of Seth Rogen’s overexposure, but this could be a good film.

i dont know if i agree with that, i thought milk was better and frost nixon…i also dont see how you think mikey was better than penn, mikey’s performance was like easy you dont need a great talent for acting to pull off that role…penn’s performance was amazingly perfect imo…also, i know if the frost dude was a main roll or supporting but i thought he was better than most dudes nominated for both categories…

note to self: NEVER see a 3d movie at the theaters. ever. again. It was more like: ā€œCoraline in 3D, with Shit on My 3D Glasses.ā€ As for the film itself, i liked it. Overhyped a tad, though. Art direction was spot on, and Wybourne creeped me out. I felt like there wasn’t enough going on for me to follow the plot that well (i.e. the appearance of the circus guy was too brief).

ya i thought the same, first halloween was good but all the rest were pretty bad…

so i just saw the directors cut of tropic thunder and i didnt see the difference from the original??? what is the difference???

and i dont know why you had a bad 3d experience…im actually not sure what was wrong according to your description, but my bloody valentine 3d effects were pretty good…

Halloween 2 is pretty good, Halloween 3 has its charms, Halloween 4 sometimes I think is good and other times I watch and think it’s terrible. Halloween 5 is pretty terrible but has some good random euro moments, Halloween 6 is fail on almost every level, Halloween 7 I liked back in the day but havent seen since, Halloween 8 is the worst of the bunch

Gondry to direct Green Hornet

so random. i’m actually interested now.

I read that earlier, so weird. If Stephen Chow is still in it wow. I’m definitely curious.

Saw what I am guessing was the unrated version of The Ruins the other day, I wasn’t expecting much but did notice that the film was getting favorable reviews. I’m glad I watched it, thought it was a pretty good flick, almost sort of like a Stephen King type story to it and the gore was pretty damn decent too. I understand that the ending was a bit different from the book but they didn’t totally turn it into the whole happy ending crap that hollywood usually do. If you guys haven’t seen it, I recommend it…

 at your name.

Okay…
