What the fuck?

re: hellraiser

ok, now i’m hearing that the author of martyrs is pennign the script for a new hellraiser?

It was nice to look at, but it was absolutely garbage in every other category. All style, no substance.

Just finished [REC]

Now that’s how you make a Zombie flick. Fuck character development/depth, atmosphere is what it’s all about. Being right there with these people, feeling the same kind of pressure, hopelessness, anger, pantshitting fright. That is what [REC] is all about.

Toymaker come out of that icy room!

deadgirl at the arclight tonight for afi fest, then probably go home and watch phantasm III and halloween 6 prod cut which came yesterday.

gotta keep up with tradition and watch tcm tonight…

Zack and Miri wasn’t too bad. It’s too cliche to be a romantic comedy on the level of Chasing Amy and it’s not take-no-prisoners enough to be as hilarious as Clerks, but it’s a very funny Kevin Smith movie anyway. Not a bad way to waste a couple of hours.

I liked it better when it was called The Amateurs.

also Californication ep. 4 was great…when baldie stuck the guy having a seizure in the leg with an ink pen :rofl:

i agree but even the style to me was garbage…there was nothing interesting about it…

ok, so we’re past summer movies, we’re through the woods of october scare classics and heading back to the theaters for…

oscar season…

ok, so i don’t really buy into the oscar hype, but traditionally, this is the one time of year you get to see slightly higher quality films on more screens. what is everyone looking forward to?

just watched the trailers for milk and slumdog millionaire. it’s funny how the same kinds of films come out all the time. slumdog is obviously the ā€œlittle miss sunshineā€ of this year. the feelgood comedy with some mild drama mixed in that sweeps noms but never wins anything cept maybe a supporting actor role. milk is the political biopic that seems rather fitting of the political enviornement (harvey milk -> prop 8). hopefully they will include dead kennedy’s ā€œi fought the lawā€ about the harvey milk shooting.

the wrestler is still at the forefront of my interest.

edit: my name is bruce is playing at the nuart dec 19-21 with bruce there…hrmmm…maybe a trip to la is needed…

New Watchmen Trailer

Fanboys the wife wants to see this one, I’m not too sure on it.

Unborn Michael Bay is on a roll.

The International (Think Signore Transporter would have been better, but whatever)

Valkyrie I’m particularly interested in this because I’ve had to do several reports on Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg in both high school and college.

New Notorious Trailer

mmm…watchmen

notorious still lookin good too

Watchmen indeed

I’ll tell you what I’d like to see more than anything else I can imagine though - a Magic: the Gathering trilogy. Done RIGHT. A focused Peter Jackson is probly the only one I could see pulling it off respectably, though.

damn that watchmen trailer was fucking dope…

the unborn looks pretty sweet so does the new clint eastwood movie where he is beating up on asian gangstas…pimp shit…

Just started typing reviews a few days ago and it feel really good putting my thoughts out there on movies though not typing every single thought about this n that is harder then I thought lol. Anyone here a screen writer? I was thinking of trying my hand at it some time so any tips or where to get some good advice would be appreciated and anyone mind telling me why they get the shaft on credibility? Screen writers come up with the story it’s their idea and I understand directors are responsible for everything the audience sees on screen but why do they get most of the recognition?

Poor Boys Game - Decent movie w/ a good message…Danny Glover delivers as always & Jack Bauer step brother wasn’t too bad either…The boxing was terrible though…

Next Avengers - This was actually pretty good despite it being a bit kiddish at times…Maybe its the voice acting of the kids but still a pretty decent story…

One movie for you guys and one movie alone I will recomend, if you havent seen Let the Right One In. Give it a look. If its already been discussed sorry I couldnt read thru all 105 pages. Also ill link to a trailer if anyones interested.
