^the original was good, the main character was a deaf mute. the remake had nic cage…
just watched mutant chronicles :woot: good-ass movie actually(thanks rcadio). mix of sin city/resident evil/matrix. much better than so many random garbage out now. I am surprised there was no theoretical release.
dark city was good too…jack bauer in sci fi flick is random as FUCK lol…
“unbreakable” was pretty good too. bruce willis and sam jackson is usually auto win. I dunno how I missed this one.
so the wrestler was beastly, really depressing though except for the deli scene which had me dying
rourke killed it, so did marisa tomei (she cant really be 43)

Does anybody have further details on this release?
do the coens ever do audio commentary?
I don’t think so. I remember reading something about Joel (or Ethan? I forget sometimes) stating that he doesn’t like audio commentaries, and that he couldn’t imagine himself finding stuff to talk about for the entire running length of a movie.
yeah, i thought i had heard that also. audio commentary is usually teh prime factor in me pruchasing a dvd i already own…
Yeah, I repurchased Taxi Driver primarily for Schrader’s commentary. I am disappointed that the Coens don’t partake in the tradition, but I’d be interested to know what the new featurettes have in them. I’m not sure I’d rebuy it, but it might be a good rental.
so i saw this movie The Wackness with ben kingsley the other day. that shit was pretty good, suprisingly good…its like a comedy/drama movie…im excited cause the independent theater that i saw this at is supposed to be showing baghead so i will be going to see that when it comes out…
im outi
Roberth
the wrestler is definately high on my list of “MUST SEE” films this year. in fact, it may be the highest ranked movie on that list at this moment…
hahahaha yep, you sure did get suckered into watching it.
Also, Bangkok Terrible stole the ‘Worst movie I have ever seen’ crown away from Domino.
i watched a good movie this weekend, it was called carolina panthers sucker punch qualcomm crowd :woot:
man i thought i was like the only one that saw that movie too. The guy that plays Josh in Drake and Josh, was pretty good in this movie.
Worst movie I saw all year, fuck you. My Vikes ain’t looking so good right now either:shake:
I did watch Irreversible the other day, was OK, liked Inside a lot better. Funny Games was OK as well. I really want to see The Wrestler and Martyrs, I would also put money on them not coming to the theater here.
i liked that panther movie too
hit them to win at +400
i saw that this weekend also…didn’t like the ending very much, too cliche…you know…underdogs throwing the last ditch pass with 2 seconds left…too predictable. i would have preferred it if the underdogs lost, but learned an important life lesson…
i was really looking forward to Benjamin Button but early buzz is pretty bad, the movie might be too long and there’s drama between the studio and Fincher. lame.
irreversible just ok? come on now…
i still say benjamin button has meet joe black written all over it
even with fincher at the helm? i mean, panic room was a disapointment, but he’s been pretty good besides that.
i think it looks stupid
