i believe it’s safe to assume if robert rodriguez’s name is on it, rose will be the star…
It’s not a remake. It’s a sequel to the original set 20 years later in LA instead of Detroit.
i see…the director was actually the more interesting point, for me ar least. i don’t have the affection most do for robocop…i could care less about the actual movie…
they broke up
I love the og Robocop but I couln’t give a shit less about the sequels.
i heard this wasn’t true…but i could be wrong…
i read about the breakup, but then like a few days later i read that it was a rumor, and that they are still together…
either way, i don’t really have a problem with rose mcgowan in skimpy outfits…
Me neither. Or with red hair. Even if this movie is a total dog, I will more than likely own it on DVD in the end.
i hope for rodriguez sake they stay together
i mean he did ruin his marriage for her and probably cost himself millions
would suck to lose her year later
xfiles got a 28% on rt - i was suspicious of seeing this in the first place, but now the “wait for dvd” option seems the best…
and i am a x-files junkie, but i let xfiles die in season 7, no need to bring out the dead corpse anymore…
just watch s4-6
pretend rest didn’t happen
That reminds me of Rorschach’s manner of speech.
i like the early seasons too…but i’m more of a fan of the one time eps over the “myth-arc” eps…also, i enjoy the more humorous eps like “jose chung’s from outer space” and “bad blood”…
I never liked the episodes that unquestioningly assumed the existence of paranormal phenomena. Nevertheless, I do like the occasional X-Files episode, like the one with the guy who was ordinary except for his bizarre amount of dumb luck.
amazing how empty the theater was for Step Brothers
don’t think i ever saw a movie that opened on friday that empty at ~7:30pm
wasn’t like it was just after a showing too, it was the first showing in like 2 hours
People are still going to see Dark Knight.
Thumbs down to X-Files. But if my memory serves me right, I remember the first movie was fantastic. The new movie isn’t even worth a rent.
Watched a Saw V preview, they didn’t show much. I didn’t even know there was a fourth one…
I swear movies are taking a turn for the worse lately.
I watched Mishima: a Life in Four Chapters this evening. It was excellent. I was particularly surprised by the clarity of the storytelling, given that the film is episodic and contains sequences shot in three distinctly different visual styles. I love how Paul Schrader is chiefly concerned with communicating the material as clearly and as effectively as he can without giving a shit about how modern movies are supposed to be assembled.
Mishima is one of the best biographical dramas I think I’ve ever seen, if not the best. In fact, it leaves Spike Lee’s Malcolm X (my second choice) in the dust.
Are you serious?
Movies have taken a turn for the worse about a decade ago, as well as a decade before that. If anything, the past year or so has been pretty damn solid for movie releases.
The actor who played Mishima was also great in Vengeance is Mine about some Japanese serial killer from the 70s.
somehow i didnt get to any movies this weekend. Meant to see step bros and x-files, and maybe brideshead revisited.
i start new job tomorrow, after a month sitting on my ass and collecting severance. Now I just need sig to write that killer screenplay i know he has inside of him so I can fast track my fortune
