I agree, if they can process the check, they can process the tip. If they had to break it up into smaller amounts or write the server a check, then do it. I guess more reason to tip in cash.
If i cant tip in cash then i dont tip, and i always hand my tip to the wait staffer who served me, no one else. Not another server, and ABSOLUTLY not management. I dont trust those fucks at all anymore, seen too many managers and businesses pocket that shit. Its why i am against tipping and think resturants should pay a real wage. Hell yea im bringin it back baby, first time in 2020.

Fuck managment at most of these joints, they will pocket a tip in a heart beat. So not only do they pay their wait staff dick and balls, but they will not hesitate to steal what money they do make doing the job. I wised up to this shit when i worked in restaurants (always kitchen) and watching that episode of Kitchen Nightmares, that fucking pastry shop in Phoenix stealing their waitresses tips.

Only reason I don’t do cash much at the moment is because of Covid, then again all my restaurant visits been for take out. I will tip for delivery, but not take out.
Also if I see a huge ass Delivery charge, I don’t tip as much. I see a Delivery charge I assume you are using it to pay your delivery driver.
Yea delivery charge is a tricky one. I make the same assumption. There is 0 reason to charge a delivery charge unless that money is going into the delivery drivers pocket. He is doing the work, and putting the wear and tear on his car to do the job. The money is his. If i find out otherwise I no longer order delivery from you.
