Speculation: Perhaps Kano will be either part of Special Forces, suffer eye trauma and then go to the dark side. Or will be a mole inside working to gain trust and then reveal himself to be a criminal during the course of the movie.
Also, I think Lewis Tans character will be the son of Scorpion or descendant. He’s wearing that style of Japanese clothing that civilian scorpion is wearing

I think they are doin the origins of scorpion and sub zero. Because subzero looks to be killing someone who at least appears in traditional clothes from the small Pic. To my knowledge no descendent of scorpion was a good guy. The original was til he got set up for the revenge tour… I think that’s the original scorpion and Kung Lao. At least til I get more info
Yeah I was talking the guy with the beard. He definitely looks like MK X Cage with a beard.
So this seems more like an origins movie for all characters, which is fine by me if the movie gets to have sequels…but still Jax having his cybernetic arms is bugging me a bit
