So I noticed there really wasn’t a thread that about remodeling, landscaping and everything to do with hooking up your humble abode. So I figured I would start one. I am really big into the DIY culture as well as interior decor and wondered if anyone on here is into that stuff as well. I am actually about to get a new place and will be doing some interior work and also looking to get some good ideas as far as insight to building a good interior. So please post articles, ideas and other things that you really enjoy about everything involving your home.
Also I am really big on minimalism decor, so here are some of my favorite interiors:
I am a big fan of it, because it tends to be cheaper when it comes to building a home. Blus it can look as good as polished marble or what not and still have character and uniqueness.
Like this floor gives some character to the room as well as most likely not being a pain to take care of.
Just this morning, I took down two trunks of an ugly five-part tree I call “the hydra.” (I know, 8.)
We’ve redone our bathroom, so far. The bathroom is only five feet wide. The one-piece we installed is, too. So, we had to tear down a wall and erect a new one. I’d post pics, but you know, iPhone.
Post when you can bruv. I have been thinking about redoing our bathroom. I am really big on kitchens though. I wouldn’t mind doing a kitchen with all Viking apliances.
I don’t know if I’d go so far as to call my house minimalist. My wife’s aunt called it Spartan before citing its negative connotation. I’ve been thinking we should have an SRK cribs thread.
I am big into minimalism. At one point I was down to a tv, couch, table and lamp. but now since I am married and with a little one, my wife isn’t on that super minimalism stuff.
We can just make this the Srk Cribs thread as well I guess. It would be pretty cool.
It’s weird because I got into minimalism when I saw an episode of Hoarders, so I really did not want to become like those folks, so I got rid of so much stuff. Now I am still trying to find a happy medium where I can be minimalistic and also keep my wife happy.
I decided to give this a bump. Me and my wife have been discussing buying a non traditional home. Basically finding like an old garage or small warehouse, that has an open space where we can do what we want with it. Anyone have any thoughts?
Also thoughts on being clever with minimalism. I am a huge fan of it, and prefer to have all of my things either put away or if they are out (like my games). they have to be neatly categorized and not so in the way. Been looking for more ways to add minimalism to the home.
