Man I just wish SRK alloted more space on the image size…I got one similar to this that’s like 90 kb…much more amusing…
Sure thing
any other arcade and i would understand but westwood is known for doing that shit, that’s why people go to ucla instead of westwood because it’s cheaper. i wouldn’t be suprised if they put it $1.25
example
midnight tune
super 50cents
westwood 1 dollar
mvc2 and 3s
super 25cents
ucla 25cents
ai 25cents
westwood 50cents
I would love to get BB into UCI and Westwood Arcades. Just let me know who I need to talk to and I’ll try to make it happen. As for EU, I would love EU arcades to have BB as well. But due to time differences, I won’t be able to call them. So if you have emails or if you can convince the owners of that arcade to email me, I would most certainly sell it to them.
Just also a quick heads up, we’re still working on our main site as well as building a community site just for the GG/BB fighting heads to talk smack on. So just give us some more time and we’ll bring everything up for everyone to party on.
H-F Blade; swiping the Ragna one.
Wow HF, how about some credit since you literally stole my template for the AH2 avs?
Damn guy .
I could have you banned just for doing that.
H-F you are awesome<3
EDIT: Chibi too, whoops.
I’m SOOOOORRRRRRY. ;_; I told you I was using it last night though, so I hope it wasn’t too much of a surprise. :X I should know better so I’ll update that post.
It’s my biggest pet peeve in the world man, I hate it when people do that.
And last night you asked me about using pngs for transparency, not if you could swipe the entire look of the AH2 avs for BlazeBlue ones.
Whatever, spread the love.
I’ve been trying to find interest for this in arcades around here, and I got this response from one friend which I thought made a good point.
I know it’s just perception, but for casual players wanting to learn, Guilty Gear had a high barrier of entry, especially learning inputs. Can anyone who’s played it speculate whether the game will be simpler in learning execution than GG was? Would one button less help? Having no FRCs?
Actually I’m pretty damn sure this game is geared toward the same damn people playing GG, and if you didn’t like it then, you’re probably not going to like BB now.
It’s pretty obvious that this game is meant to cater more towards the GG crowd but I don’t think its intention is to drive off the possibility of getting new players. From what I’ve read and played of the game, it does seem a bit lighter on the execution than GG was due to the lack of FRCs which will come as a sigh of relief to many who were unable to like the GG series because of that alone. As far as I can tell there are a number of GG sub systems that are missing like jump install, impossible dust, and slashback to name a few. The biggest removal seems to be frcs though and as such, the game seems more forgiving.
Also, if anyone has links to high-res scans of the remaining characters, preferably on a monochrome background, I might be able to create avs for them.
if i remember well, bb was stated like a more noob friendly game, of course its gonna have its complexity and being a game of arcsys its obvious that its gonna have some learning curve degree (what is more than apreciated, i hate the games that are so simple), but it seems more permisive compared to gg (im gonna miss the frc, id, ij and the other mechanics) but that maybe will be a good thing, that way more scru… err casual players would be less affraid to try the game
IMO only having one type of “Cancel” is preferable to two, and easier “basic” execution makes for a more accessible and (again, IMO) enjoyable game. I am certain there will still be numerous techniques and combos that demand “advanced” execution skills.
One thing I appreciate about BB’s system is that is apparently designed to make Distortion Drives more viable, since the Heat Gauge is only used for those and Rapid Cancels (~Roman Cancels), as opposed to the above + FRCs, Force Breaks (only present in Jin’s arsenal) and Faultless Defense (which uses Barrier Gauge in BB).
I do wish that everyone would have a highly damaging 100% (or perhaps 75%?) Heat DD, though… Ragna practically already has one, and there are rumours of Jin freezing the entire screen as well. Bang should have a “Kagebunshin” move that would only be available when in “Fuurinkazan” mode, Arakune’s might be a command throw, Carl’s a Chiyo vs. Sasori-ripoff…
Does anyone know what board/system was used to run Blazblue at evo?
Taito X2
Weird, because I heard it was being run from a PS3, which I find incredibly odd. Did you go to Evo?
I was at Evo. The game wasn’t running on a PS3, it was running on a laptop. I’ve been told the Taito-Type X2 is more or less a PC or something along those lines.
Hecatom is wrong, it was running from a laptop. When aksys started up the game, he just doubleclicked an executable, so i guess the executable could be a TaitoX2 emulator for debug purposes. A TaitoX2 board is effectively running a stripped down version of WinXP with a predefined hardware set, but what we saw at Evo definately wasn’t running on “arcade hardware”.
There was no ps3 at the BB table… there was a 360 though (for battle fantasia).
Actually, be shocked, I assume that about 4 months after the console evrsions, or after their release, we will see an announcement for a PC version (delay reason: more piracy).
That said, AksysGames, you hinted at interconnectivity, how about inteconnectivity between consoles? Because having split communities for 360 and PS3 or eventually PC would be kinda bad. :xeye:
