The amateurish translations are back in force! Note that some parts are near illegible, so take this with an extra grain of salt.
Shishigami Bang
“???ki afureru Ninja no Touryou” (“The Ninja leader overflowing with ???”)
Bang lost his hometown during the Ikaruga wars (not sure whether it was destroyed or if he merely had to leave it, but my money is on the former). I think he is/was the leader of his ninja clan. He has a strong sense of duty as well as a wide streak of compassion (? he puts much importance in human feelings, unlike Jin), and is fiercely courageous and loyal.
I believe he aims to free his brothers/brethren (in the literal or colloquial sense?) from imprisonment in Kagutsuchi’s more rundown parts. He wishes to defend love and peace in Kagutsuchi by driving out those who violate the tenets of justice (?), and sets out to punish the great villain Ragna.
(Galford crossed with Keiji Maeda (BASARA) and Chipp?)
Carl Clover
“Togajin wo oishi ningyoutsukai” (“The puppetmaster who pursues criminals”)
Height: 144 cm.
Weight: 35 kg.
Date of birth: 5/5
Blood type: AB
Origin: Austria
Hobbies: Playing the violin, chess
Likes/dislikes: I cannot make them out, you will have to wait…
Voice actress: Miyuki ???
Carl is a first-class hunter of criminals (bounty hunter?). Despite his tender age, his talent and skills are very impressive. Together with the enigmatic puppet “Nirvana”, he travels the world eliminating felons. He sets out for Kagutsuchi to face his next target, Ragna=The=Bloodedge (or obtain information about him/his whereabouts?). Carl always conducts himself in a courteous manner, never allowing his smile to fade. Not even when confronting his target…
Drive: Automaton
Carl’s Drive button is used to manipulate the Nirvana puppet. With combinations of the directions and the D button (f+D, b+D, etc.?), the puppet can perform various movements and attacks. Carl is quick but has short range on his attacks, while the Nirvana is the opposite. Carl players should use skilful cooperation between the two characters to win.
Carl Winslow: (-) I’m a man of the 90’s.
Harriette Winslow: Yes, Carl. Unfortunately, it’s the 1890’s.
(Family Matters)
BTW, I strongly detest penguins and robo-versions of characters, and anything resembling Slash from G’n’R would simply be off in this game. Hence, I approve of Carl’s design. Now if he would rid himself of the top hat and spectacles and wholly embrace the Soujiro Seta/Chris/Sai “smile while performing atrocity” mindset, I would not hesitate to vote him the most interesting/best designed character in the roster.
