Somehow this game looks almost too good for a 2D fighter. The amount of detail in every little thing on the screen is just astonishing. Gonna be a great year for fighting games… in Japan. Good to see that the developers are stepping up their game and not getting trampled by the bigger genres.

Somehow this game looks almost too good for a 2D fighter. The amount of detail in every little thing on the screen is just astonishing. Gonna be a great year for fighting games… in Japan. Good to see that the developers are stepping up their game and not getting trampled by the bigger genres.

It’s sorta a phenomenon.
The fighting game genre, a genre that was considered to be pretty much dead on consoles and dead on production values, is having an entire face lift of new games and new IP’s. The same is happening with the Adventure genre for PC’s and to a much lesser extent Nintendo systems.

Those screens are incredible. My apprehension at Tager’s design is pretty much gone. I hope it has lots of animation frames, but even without them it’ll probably be gorgeous. That button layout is kind of weird though. Would prefer something like the Arcana Heart layout.
