What i want for vskill is that the non charged version to just be a strike ( it has no use for normal version, except a very risky gimmick ), charged version can remain the same. I would also love if you could cancel the charging animation by double tapping up in order to perform a jump or double tapping down and remain on the same spot.

I pretty much consider her non charged vskill to be the worst skill in the game,it’s only there so you have something extra to charge, screw that,she already manages enough resources.

I don’t have any illuminati like links to Capcom if that’s what you’re wondering, haha. But I would hope Capcom or their reps see this, and I will encourage people to submit the finished video to them. Hopefully they see it, and hopefully they get some ideas from it!

As for my name, it comes from several places; the ‘Justice’ aspect comes from my interest in main characters and hero type characters, like Lars from T7. I love heroes from dark & edgy types like Batman to straight edge ones like Captain America. The ‘Soul’ comes from my love of the emotion, conviction and belief within game stories, and was inspired by Soul Edge; the first fighting game I ever owned. Soul Edge is one of my favorite games of all time, and Soul Calibur games were some of my favorite fighting games overall. The ‘Tuna’ comes from my love of wacky stuff; like old school comedy anime like Excel saga, and the funny side of otherwise serious games. In fact, there was a video called ‘Persona 3: Tuna lunchmeat Tuna’ which was part of what inspired the name. Also I REALLY LOVE TUNA.

Thanks a lot I really appreciate that :slight_smile: And in that regard, I do apologize for not putting out any SFV and/or Juri content anymore, but I really have moved on from the game, at least for now. I never want to give up on Juri so I do hope she (and hopefully the game) gets better.

Yeah, I was also wondering what your name meant lol. About the video, it would probably be a good idea to release it after EVO so our concerns will not be lost in all the evo news. Give Ono some time to get back to Japan, get some rest, and then spam them on twitter, facebook, capcom unity, and SRK, eventhubs.

Not a bad suggestion, but tbh I’m actually going to release it this week, before Evo. I felt like releasing it too close or after Evo would make it lost in whatever is going to happen or be announced at Evo. I also didn’t want to drag it out too long either. I made the announcement video on May 20th, and I was originally planning to release the buff list near to Juri’s release date last year; which was July 27th 2016. However, not only is that a bit dramatic and presumptuous, it would’ve dragged this video out WAY too long, especially since the suggestions have slowed down to a crawl. So I feel now is the right time to present it.

Sad to hear that but totally understandable. With how Capcom is treating it’s playerbase and this franchise lately it’s hard to say when or if things will improve but I do think she will eventually get better. Let’s just hope it happens before the frustration builds up too much. I have high hopes for S3 patch but if they drop the ball again on her I might just be done with the game myself and maybe it will be time to dust off my WOW Paladin and return to rpg games.

After weeks of collecting suggestions from all parts of the SFV Juri community and playerbase, I was able to create this final list which incorporates a consensus of all their ideas in general. This buff list was created to give a clearer picture of what the SFV Juri players want for her development within the game’s meta. In particular, the list was composed of the most commonly echoed and agreed upon buffs and changes that players want for Juri. This list isn’t meant to represent the views of literally every Juri player, nor does it presume to be the perfect thing that Juri needs in SFV, but it should hopefully provide a good perspective on where the community wants her to go, overall. As such, feel free to openly discuss how you feel about the final ideas which composed this list, and add any ideas you’d like for Juri changes as well. Please remain respectful, but don’t be afraid to share your honest opinion. And please, be sure to share this with Capcom and let them know what the community wants to see for Juri in SFV. Some great suggestions in that list but a i disagree with a few things(ofcourse).

"VT 2 bar but doesn’t drain"
Is this truly what everyone wants? If so, damn people are boring.
I rather not have lk fireball knockdown which to me ruins the entire VT combined with the fast drainage when using chains, and ability to combo into non stored specials, i rather have it be 3 bar with more utility.

So Juri will have 2 overheads basically, a qcf+mk release and her f.mk, and f.mk combos during VT?
Seems a bit redundant to me and mk fuha being 23f you can block it on reaction rather easily as long as you are aware she has it stored. I honestly see it only being usefull against people who dont have Juri experience and at the lower levels, a scrub killer move. Agan i rather have utility and make the mk fuha be more like Akuma his f.hp, but that might be me.

Starting with her lvl2 v-skill immediately shuts down a bunch of options for the opponent, i think that simply too strong especially if Juri would start with all 3 Fuha releases stocked.
I’m pretty sure the side switch after hitting with it was put in for balancing purposes, giving up positioning at the cost of having such a good tool. Also if it won’t hit on the other side anymore then you can’t use it anymore for round ending shenanigans, or for when you need the stun :^)

Aside from those i like all the other suggestions, some suggestions still seem a unnecessary but won’t complain about them.

I definitely like the suggestion of her having 3 different EX Fuharekyaku specials with different button combinations:
lk+mk = EX Fireball (+ on block, faster forward moving projectile, 2 hits, mid height, knocks down), similar to USFIV)
lk+hk = EX MK Fuha(this can be a (faster) overhead or + on block, or it simply is faster so you can combo into it from a cr.mk instead of just st.mk and heavies.)
mk+hk = EX HK Fuha, same as it is now

This buff of her having these EX specials would help her in a lot of situations and these moves costin EX meter makes them something that you can’t just throw out all the time.
I would especially welcome an EX Fireball, this would imho “fix” a lot of her unnecessary problem areas.

I feel like more detail should have been given on hit boxes. I mean do we really expect Capcom to figure out what’s wrong and how to fix them?

Case in point, c.HP has no range and is one of the suggestions I’ve seen the most. If Capcom changed it going off the video alone, it would probably get the hurt box lowered to AA better but her CC game would stay abysmal like it is now.

Also… wouldn’t a 2 bar VT mean it would drain halfway through your VT combo and we’d need to pop it raw to get any utility out of it?

Still, I can get behind most of the changes, even if some seem redundant or unnecessary. Good work and thanks for putting the time into it.

Like I said in the video, the final list was composed of common themes I found in suggestions coming from multiple people. So whether or not they’re the ‘right’ changes, I dunno. In a perfect world, it’d be fascinating to try out these changes and see what impact they actually had before it ever became a reality, but obviously that can’t happen, haha. I’m just happy that the video was so well received, especially after the effort put into it. Trust me when I say I’m breathing a massive sigh of relief, haha.

Is it me or Jam from GG plays very similarly to SFV Juri? She has short but fast normals,she can cancels her specials beetwen themselves and charge them in order to make them stronger

is the main reason I gravitated to Juri after switching from Guilty Gear. Though Jam is mostly about aircombos.
Other thing they have in common is that they are both garbo tier.
A main difference though is that jam has access to her specials without cards, the difference is that they can be air recovered and the other main difference is that Jam charges are much harder to obtain as nearly the whole cast (potempkin is the exception I guess) can punish you full screen if you store so you need to get a knockdown to store safely; Juri’s charge instead can be used in strings and during combos

I don’t get the whole “make mk release an overhead” thing either. That thing is slow. It leaves a huge gap when you cancel into it. It wouldn’t change the way you use it.
