Iām having a super hard time with Juri, but Iām too stubborn to give up on her just yet. Iāve been using her exclusively for almost a month (having switched from FANG, my main since release) and Iāve literally only won two matches in my entire time with her.
Would anyone be willing to have a few matches with me and give me constructive criticism? Iām just not ready to stop trying with her because I really like her complexity. I love FANG - and I may have to go back to using him - but he feels pretty simple in comparison. I feel like my core Street Fighter gameplay might improve if I could learn how to play Juri.

Hey guys, Iāve been playing Juri since SSFIV and since getting SFV Iāve been wondering a few things about her and wanted to know how other Juri players felt.
#1 Is Juri more or less fun to play now? Because I honestly donāt find her as fun to play as I did in IV. Perhaps this is just how the game plays in general but I canāt help but feel that it may be due to Juri losing some of her versatility as a character.
#2 Does Juri seem more flawed than she was previously? I know she can output high damage when she has all her resources stocked but she feels much less equipped to handle certain match ups now than she did before. Along with that her normals seem to be a lot less useful to me. Her Cr. Mid K/P and Cr. HP seem much worse and when I watch hi level game play she seems to be one of the least overwhelming characters to fight against.
Gonna keep playing her as I still like her a lot more than any other character so far but was just wondering if anyone else felt this way
Itās important to remember that SFIV was a throwback to old school SF and thus was primarily footsie based. SFV on the other hand is a game where the focus is on being offensive, and taking large risks a lot of the time. Juriās new changes reflect that greatly. The difference between Juri and Karin for example, is that Juri is a DLC character and by nature, she has had less time put into her design compared to a main cast character. And if you really want a game to be as balanced as possible, would you honestly want a dlc character to be OP? Juri isnāt terrible by any means (aside from her V-reversal, that thing is criminally bad), sheās a balanced character. Itās just that the top tiers really outshine her due to ease of use. The balance patch in the future is going to fix some problems, Iād like to be confident in that, but until then itās just going to take time to adjust and master her.
PS. the sex appeal went way up, so huge plus regardless. =)
Imo she is fun, but I enjoy more playing her in SF4. But imo its not because the change in her gameplay but for the properties in her moves, most of them sucks compared to the rest of the cast.
Yes, she is not as good but to be fair most of the DLC characters sucks the only really good is Balrog imo. Hopefully DLC characters will get better after the balance patch.

that the whole notion of stocking mk and hk special moves is illogical.
it feels cumbersome and a hindrance.
i mean, all three of her stocks arent very good.
but at least storing makes sense for lk fireball. but they(the developers) should have removed store for mk and hk and just let her straight up use those moves from the getgo.
cuz hk and lk i can easily adapt storing to set that up for later. but the mk ax kick that one can use to punish low pokesā¦

remove store for hk+mk specials. its not needed to store. especially considering neither is safe on block.
