Why wouldn’t Juri be able to make all those moves without the FSE ? I mean everybody in SF is throwing fireballs for a living.
My concern about FSE is that she won’t have it as her vtrigger ( and a lot of us wanted that core gameplay to be part of SF5 ) .
Juri without FSE VT would be like (if akuma was in) akuma didn’t have SNH VT or Bison not having PP VT. She’ll have it. I have faith.
So, a super then? Not sure how I’d feel about it, it’s probably just better to make it a V-Trigger regardless of how pleasing it would be to have a zoom in on her face.
And I dunno about that being her alt… Balrog wears a hoodie which fits his silhouette, Guile’s wearing a tie in Nash’s story which could fit his silhouette, as for Juri her costume’s collar can make sense for her silhouette, I guess.
I don’t really remember where I read it, but it was something from a developer questioned about it that the engine works sort of like a spirit bomb from Dragon Ball. In that it lets the user borrow energy from nature. but instead of being granted the energy willingly like in DBZ, the feng shui engine straight up steals it. It was also casually mentioned that while the engine is active, it puts her on a level on par with Akuma in terms of fighting capability.
I think I got all that from wikis and random tidbits while looking up bullshit trivia stuff for Street Fighter.
But anyway I always just assumed the Engine is what lets her throw fireballs and shit. I mean that one origina Udon comic had a thing where she’s going through learning Tae Kwon Do, but why would it glance over her learning to do fireballs and shit if she could do it without?
If it’s “just” an enhancer like you say look at it like this. Her fireballs already dont reach fullscreen with an implanted enhancer. Without it she would be the female Dan.
Juri doesn’t get FSE, it turns out she stole seth’s stomach ball and just rotates onto her head and yells something about the tanden engine. And then goes into FSE : o Mein gott…
I’m pretty sure Juri is not the female version of Dan without FSE. I can’t see that. Wouldn’t make sense. Everyone has access to Ki. But it’s not a easy thing to draw out. Ad I’m pretty sure the fireball fizz out is for gameplay purposes. I mean Oni’s fireballs (well the chargedable one) fizzed out with no charge. Juri without FSE is definite one of the stronger fighters. Hell in non gameplay she doesn’t even shoot fireballs.
Well no shit she’s a better fighter than Dan but I’m talking about anything involving ki stuff.
Don’t’ forget Chun’s fireballs fizz out too. Or Sakura’s. But involving Ki stuff? Noone really knows how the FSE works EXACTLY. We don’t even know her full power yet. We don’t even know her “base” strength without it. (though the OVA gives an indication that she’s top notch stuff).
Watch Ono will probably not even give her Fuhajin this time. So many mysteries…gotta know it all soon.
As i said, in SF everybody throws fireballs for a living, i see no reason why Juri can’t without the FSE.
Actually she does it all the time in SF4,she has access to everything without activating the FSE.
Think of this for a second. How stupid good would it be to be able to throw multiple fireballs in different angels at nearly the same time and they would go full screen. She would be able to lock down alot of characters for days. Grapplers would have a hell of a time trying to get in.

Nah. I would rather…actually I’m trying to thnk. Her reversal(s) will most likely be kasatushi (for non meaties I guess) and Ex senpusha for meter reversals.
No way she couldn’t do many of her techniques without the eye; it’s just a ki booster.
Lets not go too far here… everyone now has better options for dealing with projectiles, not mention she has to do something (jafuten) before she can throw a projectile.
In SF4 they let her do multiple fireballs just fine, I see no reason to change that in this game. I mean, Fang can throw 2 projectiles at once, technically 3 if you count his V-Skill (doesn’t cause hitstun but still).
I guess we’ll have to see what Juri brings to the table this time.
Pretty sure Juri only uses the FSE for super and Ultras. It’s the only time it does the activation flash. Everything else is all natural, baby.
Yes. Juri can do everything she can normally do but better with FSE.
