WOW, Akuma combo video! I want to see some air reset combos after weak Hurricane Kick. ( I wonder is it funner than third strike ). Or showing tactic how to play not just combos. Oh by the way I hope Chun li combo video is next!
So it seems that the Southtown Syndicate is coming to an end very soon (as a video game crew, that is). I, personally, am going to quit all this after EVO. I already dropped CvS2, the game I’ve been hardcore in for 7 years. I’m trying to stick it out with SFIV, but I’m losing interest in it. Only reason I’m hanging on is so I can compete in EVO just because this is the new game out there. Akuma all the way in tournament play. Any of you have any input on this matter?

Southtown Syndicate can continues on as casual gamers group, whom spirits are connect it with fighting game passions. Don’t put burden on yourself try to be a hard core on this game, that game. Relax and enjoy all aspect of gaming like meeting new friends, new places, turning game strategy to life strategy.

On the note about SFIV in general, it just boils down to whether or not this game if suitable for the player. For me, JC, and Cesar, SFIV isn’t really revolutionary, but for others it’s the missing link from all of the other Street Fighters. However, my personal reasons more closely revolve around the “simplified” controls and repetitive strategy, not necessarily the game as a whole. All in all, it has fun combos, cool features, and sweet graphics, but it can never be a serious tournament game for me because of the the changes that were made to make the game accessible to every skill level.
I completely agree with you, Muff Mizzle. I couldn’t have put it better. But if people enjoy it, let them keep playing it. It’s just not my cup of tea, and you know I love tea (don’t you dare make a 'tea bagging" reference, Muffin Man!). Yo muff, it took me a while to figure out how to change my avatar. I’m a few years late, but I finally did it. Next step is to figure out how to change my signature.
Click on the “User CP” link on the bar above, go to “Settings and Options” on the column on the left, and below that you’ll see “Edit Signature.” Ta-da! I was watching my last match and I’m pissed off that I threw out that random demon. And it’s messed up how all I tried to do in the second round was teleport and I ate so much shit that I practically gave that round away. Oh, well. I’m just happy we came through for each other. Win or lose, it was fun.
Speaking of Tacos, yo Forti, when you down to go to Machos Tacos in Los Feliz? Or hit up that one Taco truck in Pasadena? But if we go to Pasadena, I’m sure you’re just going to want to stay there.

Btw, JC and I are going to run a sort of “retro” tournament for the games that were big at Evo 2k3/2k4 (CvS2, MvC2, ST, and 3rd Strike). The idea is to do it on a Friday night, around 8pm, with free energy drinks, and a Connect Four side tournament. Any of you guys interested (leave the sarcasm JC:arazz:)?
Btw, the energy drinks are NOS powershots and not the energy drinks in a can. Everyone should be wired up for this one once they drink them. Hahaha! But yeah, let’s do this.

A retro tournament? lol, I’m down to go, if there’s more than 8 participants for cvs2. I wouldn’t want to get a flashback from the last cvs2 tournys I attended 
. If it does happen, make it go by quick. That Dizeland tournament took forever to get a match. I don’t have the patience to wait for my match, just like I don’t have the patience for players that just sit and turtle.
About the tacos, i’m down to roll JC. How about we get some drinks Friday night and get some tacos afterwards? If not friday, then sat.

SSFIV is coming, and it is console only. What impact does it have on us? Many of us practice in arcade, been setting goal to be good at arcade tournament. Now we got to do game sessions at home? Any idea?
