I agree with you on wasting character slots but I look at the picture like this. Capcom knows whats going to sell this game. They know adding magneto, storm, and next is sent it will get the crowd that plays mvc2 nowadays. Sent is the hypest character of all time so if he wasnt going to be in the game they would lose a ton of fans and losing fans means losing money which is not what they want to do.
Akuma actually has 5 supers. The 2 air supers, raging demon, uppercut, the ground beam. They have plans to milk this game for the next 4 years the way its looking. When the game opens up and you see the character select screen, you see so many blocks that are not filled. I can guarentee that the characters will out grow mvc2 meaning 56 over the time. All they have to do is go through a voting process and ask the consumers what they want to see and we will get it at a charge. This is looking like an endless income for capcom and im not mad at them cause I want the scene to keep growing so more tournaments and more money matches.
The only thing I dont agree with is the prices of the characters and the outfits. I know they will package it to were if you spend 15$ or 20$ you get 3 characters plus outfits. Im not a fan of that. Im not a fan of paying 5$ per character either but I will have to get over it cause i have to learn those matchups if i get serious with this game. Also, they put those female characters in there to capture the female audience. Im sure each of those characters you pointed out has a huge fan base over in japan but not here in the usa.
He can also do the fireball barrage on the ground. So that would be 6 if you really want to count the air version of the same super as a different super.

Why would they make him so damn good? I dont understand. There has been no character in the history of the vs series that has over 5 supers. I think thats good in a way but bad in a way. Bad because it will take a long time to see what super hits the hardest to each character. Good cause its so many to choose from. =/

Oh ok my mistake. And yea ryu will be ass just like he is in every vs series game. Nobody will main him cause he will get gobbled by better characters. I really really would like to see what they give ken. I mean 5+ supers is overkill. I only touched ryu in mvc2 cause he was part of the shoto crew. If it wasnt for that, he could kick rocks. What do you think of taskmaster so far?
Outside of obvious projectile overkill like most characters in the game now…He doesn’t look too bad. Makes you wonder about Aurthur though…Taskmaster does almost everything he does but better.
True but you can really count those as actual supers though cause some of them just power his sword up which is useless when your playing high level. I was playing the japs 2 weeks ago and one of them played silver, I BODIED the shit out of them cause he was trying to power that sword up aka useless superrrrr. Only reason why i use him on my team with guile and iceman is because of he has that 1 super that traps the assist and almost kills both characters by doing 50% damage each. Other than that, thats what I call a dummy character. I only use that team just to test the waters of the player im facing.
Arthur will be the new megaman as far as keep away mind games. Megaman was only good cause he can shoot out so many small beams at once. Every second he could shoot out 2 and I see arthur being the same way except he can fight a little. I like the armor super they gave him. Hopefully that will count when its needed and not be useless down the long run. Im still hoping for iceman or silver surfer. Dont see this game not being made without any of the 2. Might mess around and write a letter to capcom telling them iceman was such an incredible character in 2. Can we get a runback in 3 please 
He loses meter for something he normally doesn’t have access to. That’s like saying that Wolverine’s speed up isn’t a super.
Just because a lot of shit got lame in MvC2, in comparison to how it was in past games, doesn’t change the innate purpose of the move and it’s requirements.

I agree but I only see people using wolverine speed super “IF” they get a chance. I was playing vdo at evo and in no way in hell I wasnt gonna give him a chance to use that super so its pretty useless if you cant activate it all the time. This game is going to get real lame fast. I already can see the way its being played that it will end up like 2. Chunksta told me last night that he heard they gave sent back his unfly and refly except this time he cant fly in the air as much. This will create a shit load of problems if they give him his super armor and power in his attacks. I can already see the top characters right now by just looking at the game and they way its being played.

Why are you talking as if GIS is some top level team. That team is trash just like you, and your only excuse to play that team is you can’t handle top-tier characters. We’ve all seen your sentinel at work -_-
I may not play mvc2 cause it was pretty much dead at that point, but I’ll make sure to hop on mvc3 and whoop that ass free. Keep thinking whatever you’re doing in marvel is relevant.
