TGC events will feature top player rankings in Super Smash Bros Wii U, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Pokemon R/S, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Mario Kart 8, Killer Instinct, BYOC (Bring Your Own Console) area, social gaming atmosphere and much more. Apr 25, 2015. Please be at the venue by 10:00am for set-up, registration and warm ups. Registration for each game will end 10min before each event start time. There will be absolutely no admittance into any event after the event starts. We have the venue for 15 hours and these events may run until the 15th hour so please plan ahead by clearing your schedule for the entire day.

- BYOC (Any game with 16 or more tournament entrants) starts at 4:00pm

Bring A Full Setup = $5 (Includes Tv/Game/Console) We need setups! Purchase your $10 ticket and you will be refunded $5 at the door. This offer is only valid if setup will be used during the tournament times listed and is limited on a 1st come 1st serve basis. The 1st few setups through the door will receive this special discount. Players who bring extra full setups will receive a FREE drink for compensation while supplies last.

After purchasing your ticket/venue fee, Please purchase a 1vs1 pass by clicking HERE. Doing this will place you in a pool or bracket before you show up to TGC as well as speed up the event. If you choose to purchase your 1vs1 pass in person, you will be randomly thrown into a pool or bracket without a seed. Please be at the venue early to check-in/register because lines will be long.

We strongly recommend you bring your own Tv, Consoles: Wii U, X360, Xone, GC and Games: WiiU smash, Umvc3 (X360), Usf4 (X360), GG (Ps3), Melee (GC). Bring your GCN controllers and adapter if you bring a WiiU to the event. WiiU tablets are banned because only one tablet can be hooked up to a WiiU at a time.

Casuals in any game is more than welcome to be played in this area all day but keep in mind that space is limited so this will be on a 1st come 1st serve basis. AirbrushKing will host a tournament for any game that gets 16 or more entrants to enter the tournament so tell everyone you know that would like to participate to get there tickets and sign up.

Hello! Regular dude, new to the Pearland/Houston area, looking for competition. I’ll play any fighting game really, just looking for people to play with. Is TGC the main meetup space, or is Game Guys good as well?
TGC is tournament event that happens every few months and coming up in a couple of weeks. GameGuys is a location with weekly events and probably closest to you. There’s also Insomnia VGC hosting weekly tournaments and events as well in the Heights area. Texas Showdown is a large national tournament thats coming up on May 8-10.
I’m in the Pearland area also. I’ve never participated in any kind of Fighting game scene. My only experience is with trading card games. Are the typical meetup places, like the GameGuys place you mentioned, only for weekly meetups for tournaments, events and casual play? I’m more used to the TCG scene where you can go literally any day of the week and find tons of people to play casually with. Is the FGC too small to have tons of players ready to play casually at the typical meetup spots at all times like in card games?
Also, what are the best places to find Killer Instinct events?

Is insomnia still around? And when/where is GameGuys?
Last time I came through Houston, I played with Four Wude and Hamad. Are these guys still around?
Pretty sure they’re both around still, yeah. Insomnia is still in the same location, they have a SF4/UMVC3 tourney on Saturday night. TF Tuesday, $5 entry for 7-3 FGs, and Ranbats for MKX & UMVC3 are both Tuesday night. I think they still do Free Play Friday. Not sure about GameGuys, think they at least host a friendly night, don’t know about tournies.

Man I’d love to attend some locals but Houston FGC is pretty dead. Doesn’t help that Houston FGC Facebook page is a closed group now. Sent a request ages ago and still no response. Anyone know if there are local spots within the Houston area that are worth going to? Everything I’ve seen is either in SA or up in Dallas.

With this being pretty much a dead thread, I’m hoping to set up some regular casual matches and tourneys. We’ll be opening up a new arcade at the end of the month. Mr. Pixel’s Arcade. We’ll be in NW Houston / Jersey Village area.
