$1000 pot for Marvel
$600 pot for SSF4AE
$300 pot for MK9
$0 pot for SC5, SG, SFxT
I’m not even going to go to that crap if they think Brawl is worth more than AE and MK9 combined… I’m willing to accept that some people don’t like SFxT, but there’s no reason that Brawl should get more support than actual fighting games…
Brawl gets more support because it’s almost always guaranteed to get bigger numbers. If you can any way say that SFAE or any of those other fighting games would get more entrants than Brawl then we live in a different world, but as of right now any Smash is always guaranteed high entrants at ANY tourney.
I guess, but I still don’t see the point in disbalancing the contributions – Any amount of money put into the game would attract people, so why completely alienate SC5, SFxT, and SG when you could easily put money into all of them and capitalize on people trying to double dip?
At least with SC5 getting some money we could hope to see some interesting matches… Brawl’s just going to boil down to a bunch of Metaknight and Snake matches at the end of the day…My mild annoyance with the lack of support of games I actually like playing aside –
Have you been playing much SG since Texas Showdown?
Right now in America those games not getting pot bonuses are not that popular in attendance, so putting the draws in games that would get attendance (in this state and surrounding areas) would be good. The only real exception is probably Soul Cailbur 5 since it’s in MLG over the other stuff, which is why MK gets some support, but I think their distribution is pretty fair when trying to get prospective numbers.
As for your Skullgirls question, I think me on top of the xbox live leaderboards should answer that .

Surprisingly, I didn’t get as much into it as I thought I would. You and I played some matches at Texas Showdown earlier on Saturday (black guy using the same team as you, haha, we had some close matches at first, then I just kind of lost pace) then later in the evening around like 1 AM – at which point I started sucking it up for some reason, haha. Probably because I was tired out of my mind.
Anyway, oddly enough, I kind of fell out of the game really quick – back to playing SFxT since I actually enjoy it a lot more than anything else right now. I was debating going back to Marvel, but honestly – that game didn’t do it for me. I might just quit fighters until something enjoyable comes out that people aren’t stupidly opposed to for no reason.
Isn’t Metaknight banned?
Not mentioned in the rules for Comicpalooza as far as I can see.
I think it goes as unwritten that Metaknight is banned…s’why i cant take smash seriously. The little bastard was too cool.
Unwritten rules don’t really work – and the tournament isn’t really managed by anyone who’s majorly in the Smash community as far as I can tell… so…
I definitely feel that’s something they should put on the page.

but the ones i’ve been to, smash players outnumber all other traditional 2d FG players so far.
They easily double+ any major Capcom tournament in any state, the scene is always huge.

Nice. I’m still up in the air, but leaning towards yes.
Guess I should put my 10,000 EWGFs on hold and start actually training on a second character for SFxT… And actually get some practice into SkullGirls, outside of doing a few story modes I have not played at all. 
No more close games between you and I, lol.
Maybe I’ll work on getting some Solobella antics, haha. Are you going to Monster’s tonight? I might try and stop by there (debating whether or not I want to deal with the 30~40 minute drive today), just to scrub up in some games I never play (AE and Marvel), since that’s all they seem to play there.
