Wed Fight Night: Looks like we all have alot to talk about tonight. Im hyped about those new character vids they released for umvc3. Everyone bring setups and there own pad/sticks. Last week we had some new people come thru so I hope to see some more new faces in the building. I will be getting the outside banner made this week and next week it will be outside of highway 6 and bissonet. This new banner will attract new people so we can get a new player base at smileys. Dennys Afterhours: We back in the building! Ihop was BFI (TRASHHHH) last weekend. I couldnt believe our waiter walked out on us. How she gonna argue with her manager about her hours and get mad cause she didnt get the days she wanted off so she storms out of ihop and leaves my cup of lemonade and water empty? That lady lost her dayumm mind but it was all good. She was gonna get the GGGG-UNITTTT anyways so she saved me 2 quarters. There was a chronicle of blogs/articles about this dude from a Japanese player a while back, I forgot which player it was. Basically this was back in the Vanilla days and he was a Sagat player who would go into that stare down/rage mode to streak after losing many times. One specific article that stuck in my mind was his difficulties with trying to fight Tokido’s Akuma. I think the blog shows how exactly the dude ended up staying in Japan permanently but I can’t remember where to find the site.
Ok so I have been more of a lurker rather than someone really doing stuff for this scene we have here in Houston, all that is going to change. What time does everyone show up at Smiley’s?? Its right by my house so Id love to catch up with you guys (no homo).
