i know the weaboos will gather and worship satan there…
its only for blaze i think
It says on the forums that it is for both sf4 and blaze. Sf4 starts @ 8 pm
They actually do, I came in there one time before heading to the bar down the strip center for someone’s going away party. It was the cosplay night and I had to deal with making fake conversation to many Daigo dick riders before they realized that I was only interested in playing the game and not some fruity shit like story lines.
Smileys was good last night. Nice to see Mark back in the mix.
back from Nebraska, the scene down there leveled me up hard! im better than daigo for sure now!
You should’ve stayed.
We don’t have a scene anymore :shake:
Sylint: Glad to see smileys is still holding it down. Heard there was 15-20 people playing yesterday. Dayummm, i missed a good night once again. Even suavion told me he was coming through next wed plus some new faces hit me up and told me they was stopping by. Imma start praying that my leg does better cause i cant keep missing these fight nights plus ihop =[
The scene died? Since when?
Is everyone saving any kind of cash to travel next year/end of this year? How about figuring out where we can all travel as a group? Evo and Showdown should be staples along side the local events.

This is basically a rough list of MOST of the major tournaments, should anyone like to add something I’ve missed by all means please do so I can add it to this list. The ones in bold are more important and also are in the south just a heads up. And of course, most of the ones listed for this year also apply to next year as well. So with this list we should get an idea of who wants to go where and an idea of what the dates are so you can take time off if need be. If we do this right, we can cut costs on hotel rooms and whatever means of transportation to each event.
The ball is rolling…discuss~
I’m in town for this weekend and heard SBO quals going on at PZ. I can’t find any info on it though. Just curious, what time does it start?
I just got a job. Seems stable so far. Expect me to go out to these.
Absolute Battle got canceled so that’s out of the question. Devastation is mainly just a bunch of scrubs and a few top players mainly because of how they set it up. Season’s Beatings would be the tournament to go to if you actually want to play against a large demographic for the fall, NEC also but that’s mainly east coast. If you actually want to go to a major in the south just go to Final Round, cheapest one to actually plan out anyways. BFTS I’m probably going to go just because it’s a day or two after my birthday, it’s during Mardi Gras, and I’ve been going to every single one they made so far.
As for hotel/car issues, that’s all up to you. I refuse to drive anyone to a regional/major tournament that doesn’t have a driver’s license just because all that’s doing is putting a strain on all the other drivers in the car. Not wanting to scream at people also helps, part of the reason but also that’s part of me having poor anger management. Fly and get your own space to these things if you can, that’s more energy you can focus on the tournament itself. Also do try to actually see the sights, it’s actually nice to go outside and explore around everyone.
Wait, why did Absolute Battle get cancelled? What happened there?
Edit: looks like I might have a job after next week. Once I get some money saved up I do want to start travelling again. Whether or not I can drive everyone will be up to whether or not my car holds out. But as long as people pay for gas I don’t really mind driving others around.
That’s all that Jon wrote on the matter, it may get postponed it may not. It’s definitely not happening during November though. Also people please pick and choose your regional tournaments wisely. I do got to admit some of the ones I went to weren’t really worth it at all due to the amount that would show up, distance/practicality, so on so for. The safest bet is a UFO tournament. I hear the Dallas Bar Fights also have a pretty good turnout. San Antonio can be hit or miss at times but they do have some pretty decent tournaments. Can’t really comment on Kileen since I never traveled there and the Rio Grande Valley has enough for their own scene but it’s only if you’re willing to drive 7 hours out. If you ever can try to go to a tournament in New Orleans when they have a large one, place is pretty nice to visit at times.
Thanks for the input Winchester, I’ll take Absolute Battle off the list until further notice. Also thanks for sharing your opinion on the traveling situation, indeed it will be noted.
tickets are still pretty decent for ohio kevin, yall should hop on those soon…
I want to go to Ohio. What airline is good for there, i know Southwest is a bust and it looks like Continental doesn’t have any direct flights.
They have the BBCS2 quals posted up on Dustloop, but here’s the thread on Mashharder with SSF4AE details
