I have a PS3 MVC3 TE stick. I want to install the PS360+ PCB so that I can use it on my 360. I have no experience modding. All in all I have only recently picked up fighting games anyway.
I also bought a SSIV Madcatz SE that I want to replace the buttons, artwork, and joystick just to introduce myself to modding.

Whats good is how no one is answering…that should tell you how many players play this game-- My advice just start the gathering at whichever respected spots and tell players in forums, word of mouth to meet up there & if you they really want to play this game seriously or casually they will go out…respect that your trying something but this is not Cali
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that if you use the PS360+, you would have to take out the existing PCB in your stick and replace it with that one. Either way, dual modding a PS3 stick involves a lot more work as oppose to dual modding a 360 stick. I don’t remember the name of it exactly, but I know someone made a PCB that just snaps on top the 360 PCB to serve as a dual mod.

You’re right, usually you want to just rip out the existing PS3 PCB (which can be used in a different stick or sold) and replace it with a new board, in this case the PS360. You don’t need to do any soldering for this so it’s actually very easy. The PS360 installation guide is pretty straightforward. Toodle’s makes the 360 dual mod boards.

I’d like to get back into fighting games but I’ll need to practice up. I haven’t taken SF4 that seriously since vanilla and I only played MvC3 for a bit online. I’ve mainly just been messing with Mortal Kombat lately.
Anyway, how does Monsters/Smiley’s work? Is it bring your own stick/pad? Xbox or PS3?
Oh, and I work in Sugar Land but get off at 5:00 on Wednesday. I see the event starts at 8:00. What happens if you go early? Is it the same charge? Is anyone there at 5 or 6 with games?
I only ever go to Monsters, so I can only explain for them, they usually are pretty cool when I show up a little early (gives me some time to practice before the good people show up xD). As for sticks and pads, it always helps to bring your own, but normally there are plenty of nice guys that will lend you one. (If you play on 360 pad, I’d bring your own however, they only have one)
So Monsters uses both machines? I’m on PS3, use pad for MK and stick for everything else.

Also, another update on Compicpalooza, as it is only a few days away. If you have not or cannot sign up through the www.gmma.us site, don’t worry. You have all of Friday to get to the game room at the con and sign up for your games of choice. Note that Friday is THE LAST DAY of registration. I will be making the brackets Friday night, ready to start off at 11am on Saturday. 11am start time is for Marvel vs Capcom 3. Street Fighter 4 will start at 2pm and MK 9 at 4pm.
Yes, they have both machines, normally MK is played on a PS3, so you should be good.
