I haven’t been able to access the store all day on PS4. Is everyone currently getting the maintenance error?
Everyone is talking about psn being down but I’m literally downloading all the free games and can see my friends list and the store with out issue.
Waiting for them to finish and install because I’ve heard some funky stud could happen if an install goes wrong.
Tekken Tag Tournament wasn’t exactly a launch title. At least not when the console first came out. If you compare this launch (i.e. the earliest launch) to the PS2’s Japanese launch (again, the earliest launch) then this is arguably better. All we had back then aside from RRV was EX3.
At the very least, rollback netcode should be easier to implement with more resources.
Got my Ps4 from Walmart haven’t opened it yet because i don’t remember my PSN password.
Went to reset it and asked me for my birthday. Put it my birthday and said it was wrong. I’m fucked shouldn’t have lied about my age.
Called Sony waited on the line for 1 hour plus and couldn’t get through. Sigh looks like my Ps4 is staying boxed up until I can reach sony. Which doesn’t seem like anytime soon.
Question if I can sign in on my Ps4 with my Ps3 PSN ID ( I assume you can) will my account info transfer. Will my friend list transfer?
Yes. a lot of info (friend’s list, trophies, any saved credit cards) transfers.
Every fighting game coming out next gen better have rollback netcode. 1080p graphics and still can’t get inputs to feel like offline against people who don’t live that far away? Can’t have that. Devs need to get off the slushy forced delay netcode.
That’s because you have idiots who don’t know any better saying shit like “servers are fine, peer to peer sucks”, “I don’t like having a direct connection to my opponent”, “x frames of repeat buffer is better than rollback, Arc > GGPO.”
Sites getting hammered because of all the new PS4’s trying to grab shit. It’s pretty much hit or miss with that, just keep trying.
4 and 5, unfortunately as you most likely found out, there’s no media server in the PS4. There’s the possibility it’ll be patched in later, Sony is aware that a lot of people want it and they’re supposed to be looking into it. The thing can’t even play mp3’s. I still have my PS3 and 360 though, so I’m not going to miss it much.
Add me, PSN is Kitsunisan. I need some friends on there with PS4’s so I can see what it’s like there. I’ve got NfS and ACIV, not sure if I’m keeping Knack though, it’s up for sale in the TO right now but if no one grabs it by tomorrow night I may just pop it open.
So, I fucking suck and shooters, but if I were to grab one, which would be best, Killzone, Battlefield or Ghosts? I’m leaning towards Killzone right now, been hearing less than stellar reviews of Ghosts.
So I accessed the PS Store via my PC and sent the Resogun download to my PS4. Played it. My god, game is too good.
I can see my friends list, send messages, stream, etc., just can’t go on the store from my PS4. Ah well, got all the games I need for now anyway.
donwloads done. i’m good to go. about an hour and a half from unboxing to firmware update (download via ps4) to downloading reso, flower, contrast, blacklight, and warframe (full dl) and install. not bad at all.
friend thought he had a busted system. turned him to the kotaku solutions post (http://kotaku.com/good-news-about-our-once-broken-ps4-1464813671) and he found out it was his hdmi cord (he had used his own instead of the ps4 one, which worked fine when he used it. jenky, i know…).
eating this cup o noodles before i start killzone, but thinking i need a much heartier feast.
So has anyone got a chance to go on multiplayer and played with other people? If so, how’s the lag?

Screw that, I want GG Xrd with rollback. I don’t understand why anyone is defending the frame buffer solution at this point, there is clearly a better method.
Frame buffer doesn’t help with blocking and with the gross mix ups you can do in anime style games, last thing you want is slushy forced delay netcode.

Ps3 traffic is doing just fine…downloaded a 2 1/2gb demo in 14 minutes just after 6pm. Does this imply that there is a separate online network for ps4?
