The Sonic the hedgehog thread V.7 2017 its been generations since the last good sonic game

Doesn’t being a fan just mean enjoying the games? Cheesy I know, but I think you might be getting a little too riled up. I mean, I understand your disagreement, but I seriously doubt even the people making the games are really all that concerned over the ins and outs on Knuckles fighting knowledge or exactly how he flies.

So now your only response is that I’m lying. You can do the research yourself and learn, I’m done with your dumbass.

The team who used to make the games were.

I can’t really agree with his zealotic demeanor, but he kind of has a point. They’re clearly boxing gloves; they’re too thick for mittens. And for everyone else who has a glove shape that’s different from the standard (Rouge, Espio, Big, etc.), that shape ties into their personality and/or occupation. It’s hard to think of a reason for him to wear mittens of all the possible gloves he could wear, but it’s easy to think of a reason why he’d be associated with a boxing glove.

If the gloves were supposed to represent his climbing abilities, he would have actual climbing gloves. Fingerless handwear is the absolute worst thing you could use for climbing. When I see a spiked fist, I think of it being used to punch someone, like a brass knuckle. It’s only remotely associated with climbing because that’s what you see him do in the game; without the game, when you see a spiked fist, you probably wouldn’t think someone’s going to scale walls with it.

Thank you. I need to smoke weed.

The gloves are thick for everyone. It’s weird how big the characters hands are in current games. Boxing gloves restrict hand movement too much to have practical use outside combat. We seen knuckles grasp a chaos emerald and other things have involve him opening up his palms. That wouldn’t be possible with boxing gloves. Mittens can still provide the shape and still have him use his palms.

The spike on his gloves could have represented climbing better if it located on his upper palm. Something like this is common for climbing.

The gloves are not thick for everyone like they are for the characters he mentioned, Rouges gloves look nothing like Amys, again you sound like an idiot. And the spikes are on the outside of the fist so he punches the wall to climb it, Knuckles punches.

And there are boxing gloves that allow you to open and close your hand, there are different variations of gloves.

Espio gloves ain’t different from the norm. He has pads on waists but otherwise his gloves ain’t any different from Sonic, Amy, etc.

He has bracers on his gloves because he’s ninja. As Knuckles wears boxing gloves because he’s a fighter. The outfits convey personality. How many times do you need to read this for it to become clear?

This is still a children’s cartoon franchise. Where a common method of showing someone can punch really hard is putting gigantic boxing gloves on them, even if in reality that would make their punches weaker. And those characters are usually still able to grab things with those gloves just fine thanks to the magic of cartoon physics.

If they were in that position you’d have a point, but they’re not; they’re on his knuckles. And climbing gloves still have finger slots.

I don’t give a shit about the gloves honestly, I was simply talking about the over all character designs. They still look like themselves, they just have some minor alterations that aim a bit more towards to the characters specific strengths. There’s nothing wrong with this, and it has nothing to do with being a stupid American, as offensive as that line of reasoning is.

This is not the case for Knuckles, and I have explained why, but you keep bringing it up. Making him big takes away his charm, did you comprehend the Heroes explanation?

You provided for boxing gloves is still circumstantial at best. It doesn’t definitely prove it’s boxing gloves. Bracers are something else entirely. Espio actual gloves are on par with the regular kind.

To this day I still wonder how Dudley can drink tea and drive with his gloves on.

Go away Hawkingbird, you are very stupid, you don’t comprehend things. You read the explanations we give and then just respond with the same shit.

I think everyone looks fine except Knuckles. He’s not Captain N Simon Belmont levels of unrecognizable, but I don’t think he really looks like himself. A lot of it depends on the art, too. Like in his official 2D artwork like in Hawkingbird’s avatar he doesn’t look too bad. But in that Archie cover and his gameplay rig, he just looks kinda…I dunno, oblong? It’s really easy to make his character model look atrocious.

Blue arms Sonic is fine, but takes some getting used to; for over a decade he’s only existed as a series of animation errors, so your first thought when seeing him is “wait, this isn’t right…”

Don’t get salty because I don’t see the things the way same way you do. Getting riled up over nothing.

reads that the dreadlock information came from the Sonic Heroes manual Interesting…I’ve never seen it mentioned before in any manual before that I can recall goes back and pulls out his copy of Sonic Heroes on GC and flips through the manual specifically looking under Team Sonic’s profile and the one for doing the Triangle Jump Nope…no mention of it in this manual. Don’t know where the wiki is getting that info from unless the PS2 and Xbox manuals are different.

While I seriously loathe the designs for Boom and the game sure as hell isn’t Sonic it could still be a decent thing to watch 8 billion reruns of during the day and Crash Bandicoot with a (weird) Sonic skin.

Not supplanting any main stuff so whatever. If it’s that bad I can just ignore it, like I do with those phone games.

Yup, reading one manual proves it’s never been mentioned in any others.

I think we can sum this all up by saying Sonic is, and always has been, for kids, and that RenyNoise is wasting perfectly good oxygen.

That cool with everyone?
